After determining that many racers who run big-inch power-adder motors in conjunction with automatic transmissions could benefit from a taller rear end gear ratio, ATI set about manufacturing an exclusive 4.00:1 ring and pinion gear set. It is designed to fit the popular 9” Ford rear end housing. These are 9310 alloy “Pro” style gears with a 35-spline pinion and 1.875” diameter pinion stem. The ring gear is 9-1/2” in diameter for extra durability, They help achieve superior top-end performance over the commonly used 4:11.
