Friday 27 - June 5 Jubilee Tree Trail

As part of the celebrations, people across the country are being encouraged to plant a tree for the jubilee. Follow the free tree trail through 14 acres of RHS partnered gardens at the Bishops Palace in Wells to learn about them. Collect a trail from the ticket office, a small prize is available on completion.

Saturday 28 Royal Afternoon Tea

Celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee in style with a Royal Tea at Haselbury Mill, Haselbury Plucknett, Crewkerne. Adults £17, children £8.50, must be booked. Details on 01460 77095.

Saturday 28 - Sunday 5 Kids Rule!

Go to the grounds of Stonehenge for a right royal knees-up to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with merry monarchs, handson activities and fresh-air family fun. Book online and save.

Kings and Queens

Celebrate the jubilee by trying a kings and queen themed quiz with links to Prior Park’s history. There will be games, decorations, local music and the chance to picnic in the beautiful grounds.

Travel Back in Time

To celebrate the Jubilee, travel back in time with this trail and explore the last seventy years. Some beautiful knitted crowns have been hidden in the gardens of Dunster Castle. Explore the gardens while you search for these crowns and along the way complete activities, answer questions and learn what life was like in the past. £2.

Kings and Queens Trail

Follow the kings and queens trail at Dyrham Park with lots of facts on the various monarchs who reigned when William Blathwayt, who created the park, was working in government. There will be games, decorations, local music and the chance to picnic among nature in the orchard.

Saturday 30 - Friday 3 Crowning Glory

Join in a special family activity at the Roman Baths in Bath. Explore coins and medals celebrating special events and make a Roman radiate crown. Fom10am to 12.30pm and 1.30 - 4pm, free with normal admission, children must be accompanied.

Saturday 30 - June 5 Beary Special Twin Celebration

Celebrate with a traditional teddy bear’s picnic and treat yourselves to Bear themed treats at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. Play traditional garden games on the picnic lawn. Then visit ‘Paws’ at the Andean Adventures exhibit to discover facts about the bears and watch exclusive ‘bear cam’ footage of the twin Andean Bear cubs. Tuesday 31 Jubilee Craft Activities

Go to the Brick and Tile Museum East Quay, Bridgwater for some fun family activities with clay. Make a clay stamp tile and decorate a plate to take home. From 10am to 4pm, £4.50, must be booked, go to somersetbrickandtilemuseum.org.uk to book.

Join in the fun in Midsomer Norton: Thursday- Opening ceremony at the Rugby

club with the lighting of the Beacon from 8pm. Friday - Music Festival in the Town Park 1.30 to 8.30pm Saturday - Farmer’s Market and Duck Race in the High Street from 2 to 8pm. Plus Big Street Party at Silver Street Station from 12pm with beer and cider festival. Sunday - Church services and afternoon tea at the Methodist Church and Closing family day at the Cricket Club from 2 to 6pm.

Glastonbury Celebrations

Thursday- Beacon Lighting atop Glastonbury Tor Friday - Glastonbury Queens and Kings Procession followed by entertainment in the grounds of the ancient Abbey. Sunday - The Big Jubilee Lunch in the Town Centre.

Celebrations in Burnham and Highbridge

Follow the Jubilee Shopping Trail through Burnham on Sea Town Centre. Plus: Thursday - ‘Children’s Street Party’ in Burnham Town Centre. Includes a ‘Jubilee Parade’. Lighting of Bacons on the Jetty in Burnham and St John’s Church Higbridge. Saturday -‘Jubilee Vehicle Show’ in Burnham High St; street art, live DJ and Punch and Judy in Morland Hall; Jubilee Sports Day in Recreation Ground and Southwell Gardens, Highbridge; Outdoor music in Market Street, Highbridge and Street Party at the Windmill Club, Edithmead. Sunday - Jubilee in the Park in Manor Gardens and Craft market in Market Street and Southwell Gardens.

Friday 3 Recreation Ground Celebration

Yeovil Town Council invites you to commemorate this historic milestone at Yeovil Recreation Centre, Chilton Grove. With local live music and delicious food and drink free from 12 to 8pm.

Saturday 4 Jubilee Picnic in the Park

Visit Keynsham Memorial Park between 12 and 6pm for free themed family activities and entertainment. Picnickers will be joined by characters from Alice and Wonderland, as part of a giant Mad Hatter’s Tea Party. Children can take teddy bears to the picnic, with prizes available for the best-dressed jubilee bear. There will also be a cake-decorating competition, so take your decorated jubilee sandwich sponge or cake for judging.

Street Party

Join the party on the Esplanade in Watchet celebrating the Jubilee.

‘Sheptopoly’

Shepton Mallet becomes a board game. Hunt the missing crown jewels in this free, fun and interactive game for all ages celebrating 70 years of Queen Elizabeth’s reign with ‘7 Queens for 7 Decades’! Inspired by the current Art Bank exhibition, ‘Wild Things.’ Start at the Art Bank at 1pm, get a map to follow and win a token at each location. All players meet back at the Market Cross for the finale at 3 pm and the final task, part of the Jubilee Music Hall Extravaganza. Then enjoy a Jubilee party until 6pm.

Sunday 5 Jubilee Picnic in the Park

A family Picnic in Jill’s Garden, Grove Park, Weston-super-Mare with free entertainment. With music in the bandstand from 1 to 6pm, some stalls and a children’s activity area.

The Big Jubilee Picnic

Pack a picnic and enjoy free family fun at Royal Crescent Lower Lawn in Royal Victoria Park, Bath. Includes children’s entertainment and activities from Super Pirate and Drum Runners, as well as free face painting and an arts and crafts tent. From 12 to 5pm.
