A H.O.P.E. TESTIMONY I am so thankful for the women of HOPE. In the spring, I was given the opportunity to teach first grade for a teacher on maternity leave. As a retired teacher, and being out of the classroom for the past 10 years, I found the assignment to be overwhelming. Praise God, that we have support in the body of Christ! These women took on my task and became my spiritual support, and my lifeline. I found myself physically tired, emotionally drained and challenged by the curriculum, the schedule, and the students. I needed to be focused on the bigger picture; the spiritual and the kingdom assignments. WOW! What difference it made for me. To be reminded that the opportunity had more to do with the revelation of what goes on in schools now, how to focus our prayers to intercede for our schools, and to do it with a personal passion because you KNOW the challenges. Our History Over twenty years ago, a group of women met at a local restaurant to organize a prayer group. The Holy Spirit began defining our purpose as well as our name. We were to pray for our schools and call others to a place of prayer for schools. As we yielded to The Holy Spirit, our great teacher, he would teach us how to pray and how to Help Others Pray Effectively. God’s Grace continues to enable us to grow and develop in prayer. Recently, we were designated as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, expanding our mission to pray for schools.

My classroom is a classroom of Peace, Safety, Calm and Serenity because Jesus, the Prince of Peace reigns. Our protection, preservation and peace are in Christ Jesus. I apply the Blood over my classroom declaring no evil or demonic spirit shall prevail here – no disease or plaque shall come near this classroom – a thousand may fall at our side and ten thousand at our right hand but it shall not prevail against us. Angels guard and protect my class room. I am not anxious or troubled over test scores. My confidence is in the finished works of Jesus. Our scores soar because Jesus is the source of all increase. I yield to the Holy Spirit as my helper and strengthener. He leads and guides me into all truth concerning my students. He is my inside guide and reveals strategies and lesson plans to implement. My School year is a successful year because of the presence of God with us. This is our best school year ever because God has perfected all things that concern us. Amen!
