manifesto It is in our human nature to personify things and determine what might be good or bad. Technology is created by us, it is a tool that is meant to be used by people. It isn’t good or bad in itself, it is how we use it that determines what might be considered good or bad.
Technology doesn’t define us, we define technology.
For this project we will be discussing ethical implications of technologies and their evolutionary processes in society. How does technology affect us on physical, intellectual and social levels? We’ll develop futuristic scenarios where kids lead an almost fully integrated existence with technology. These hypothetical scenarios will help to explore the ethical, cultural & social impact of technological repercussions in the future. Although set in the near and distant future, these scenarios are by not means to be seen as predictions or forecasts, their purpose is to spark debate about how our relationship to technology might change in the face of new possibilities and problems with existing approaches.
