The hexagon shapes allow for a single style statement, or you could connect a few together to create the ultimate footstool. The legs are handmade by a local carpenter, and a bespoke service lets you choose your wood and fabrics to create a completely unique design.’

Loose covers have always been a favourite of country decorators and with good reason – their easy fit shrugs over plump armchairs, adding to the relaxed look. They do just the same job for a footstool, where they have an added advantage, as they can be removed once footprints show and whisked away for dry cleaning or a wash, depending on the fabric chosen.
