Welcome
Good evening, VGM employee owners. It is my honor to welcome you to the VGM Awards Ceremony.
In my more than two decades at VGM Group, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible growth and success of our company. 2024 was a record-breaking year for VGM. And 100% of that success is due to the work and dedication of our employee owners. From coordinating care for patients to implementing new business solutions, our employee owners tackle complicated challenges for some of the most complex industries. This year’s finalists have gone above and beyond in their respective areas. Tonight, we celebrate their achievements.
Whether or not someone takes home an award, each of these finalists has made a difference in some way—for their fellow employee owners, their customers, their community, and for VGM Group. And they all deserve recognition.
Thank you, friends, family, and employee owners, for joining us tonight to Cheer Each Other On!

Jeremy Stolz CEO, VGM Group

Your Hosts
Pete Martin
President, VGM Fulfillment

Pete Martin is President of VGM Fulfillment, stepping into the role and joining VGM in January 2024. VGM Fulfillment partners with manufacturers and providers to deliver CPAP machines and supplies directly to patients across the United States. Since joining VGM, Pete has helped VGM Fulfillment achieve unprecedented growth, up 25% from 2023. The team also shipped more than 11 million packages, with an accuracy rate of 99.85% in 2024, and expects even more in the coming years.
Before coming to VGM, Pete served on the leadership team at Target Corp beginning in 2012, most recently as Group Vice President – Food Supply Chain, where he was responsible for all aspects of Target’s $10 billion food and beverage supply chain operations across the United States. He oversaw Target’s 13 food distribution centers, with world-class automation, more than 7 million square feet of warehouse space, and more than 3,000 team members.
Pete earned his BSE in mechanical engineering from Arkansas State University and his MBA from Missouri State University. Additionally, he is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified. Pete, his wife Samantha, and their two children have made their home in Cedar Falls since 2014.

Sara Laures

Sara has held roles in multiple VGM businesses during her career. She began at VGM’s HOMELINK division in 1998 and spent five years developing a foundational knowledge of care coordination and its impact on patients’ access to quality healthcare. For 14 years, she was responsible for leadership of VGM Education, spearheading the development of its robust virtual education platform and content. Redstone Content Solutions
Senior Consultant – I help companies figure out their messy content problems with software. One day, I’m sketching out how all the tech pieces should fit together. The next, I’m whipping up demos to show clients how it’ll work. Sometimes, I’m deep in the code building stuff. Other times, I’m brainstorming with businesses about how to make their workflows less of a headache. It’s a mix of big-picture thinking and getting your hands dirty with actual solutions.

I don’t care for hot drinks. I’ll hold something like hot chocolate to warm up my fingers, but I’ll also let it get to almost room temperature before drinking it.

It’s pretty neat that we do these awards, and I’m excited to be named a finalist. Really though, VGM is the best. I love how there’s always something to look forward to. It’s been a fulfilling and fun few years, and I think I’ll stick around for another 30 years or so to see what happens next.
“Travis is one of the most helpful people I know. He brings such positivity to every interaction and is absolutely always willing to help. Travis created a photo booth to use during Heartland, and after seeing it, I jokingly asked him to create a CRM for Talent Management. Without hesitation, he sent me actual viable options that could work for us. I wish everyone could have a Travis. He truly is the best.”

Executive Director, PR & Content Strategy – In my role, I work with a team to understand a client’s unique business needs, goals, and challenges, then combine that with insights about the target audience’s motivations and needs, pain points, and challenges across their journey. Then I bring it all together to develop a strategy that engages the target audience with storytelling that encourages them to take action and drive the client’s business forward. It’s really humbling. This is something I didn’t expect at all, and I really appreciate the support and encouragement. Thank you for the nomination!
“Rachel is in a strategic role and dives in quickly to learn about a new client or prospect and create a compelling story. She’s pitched in on almost every client at the agency this year. Whether it’s content for Pioneer, journey mapping for various clients, leading planning sessions for Volvo, or working to help the agency with our own efforts, Rachel always brings a sharp mind, thoughtful process, and new ideas. HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE A FINALIST?
I was born and raised on a farm, which has really shaped me. Hard work is part of who I am. I face challenges head-on and don’t give up easily. I also love music and play both the trumpet and piano.
“A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey
One of my favorite aspects of VGM is the genuine love and appreciation shown for our time as employee owners. Being recognized as a VGM finalist has affirmed that my hard work has made a meaningful impact on people’s lives. My role does not feel like work. I consider myself fortunate to be among those who truly love what they do. I owe my success to the incredible team I work with, including the clinicians and sleep coaches who make Sleep Services thrive. I am deeply grateful for the support of my leaders, John and Boone. Thank you for encouraging my growth and allowing me to build this with you each day. I am truly thankful to be a part of VGM.
WHY EMILY IS AN AWARD FINALIST
“When we began Sleep Services in 2023, we knew we needed to find a team with a startup mentality, that understood change would be a constant part of the job. Emily immediately set herself apart. She became a leader and a coach without being asked. Emily understood early on that the key to the success of the program was to find ways to make our sleep coaches more efficient. In less than a year the team has doubled their productivity. She is a great resource to our customers and employees, and VGM is lucky to have her.”

I am truly honored to be selected as a VGM Award Finalist. This is a personal achievement for me but would not be possible without the support of my family, colleagues, leaders, and customers. VGM is a company that invests in their employees. I would not be where I am today without the support of all of them.
“There are not enough words to express all the ways Jenn is a top performer. Over the years, Jenn has always jumped in to assist with anything that needs to be done, whether that is having an uncomfortable conversation with our customers, helping her teammates with tasks, training teammates on new processes, or showing hospitality at any VGM conference or show. My first reaction was to panic and then hide and cry under my desk, but the more I have thought about it, the more I have realized what an honor it is to be recognized as a finalist. We have a workforce of about 1,600 across all business units, and to be nominated by a fellow employee and then being recognized for something like this is an incredible honor to have.
“What we do at HOMELINK, and VGM as a whole, can be hard to explain, and we are so fortunate to have Ian to help new hires navigate all of it. And he does it while also introducing new employee owners to VGM’s unique, and fun, culture. He makes work fun but is still dedicated to ensuring every new HOMELINK employee is set up for success. It’s an amazing honor to be a VGM Award Finalist! There are so many wonderful and hardworking people throughout Corporate IT and VGM as a whole who deserve this award. I couldn’t do what I love every day without the support of my Help Desk team. I am so grateful to work at a company that is employee owned and recognizes the hard work each employee owner does.
“Jill is a leader by example. And she knows how to Find The Fun In Her Day and make an IT challenge seem like fun. She’s such a joy to connect with. There are a few things. First, I’m from Venezuela. I also have a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. On the more personal side, I played semiprofessional soccer for 12 years, I love trying local food from every place I go, and family is very important to me.

It is an honor and commitment. I’m very grateful for the opportunity to continue growing as a professional. It was a long journey to get where we are, a lot of obstacles. But trust in God, trust in you, and the power of showing up every day. That will lead us to the next steps. Special mention to thank my family for all the support and my whole team and leadership.
“I am thankful every single day to have Michael taking care of our Nashville warehouse and the team there. He demonstrates how important our work is in Fulfillment. I’m thankful to be here at VGM every single day even if every single day isn’t always easy. I am encouraged by incredible teammates who consistently go out of their way to help me feel involved, engaged, and seen. I am thankful for leadership that is patient and allows me to be me as scary as that is sometimes. I am surrounded by genuinely just great people and employee owners who may think their day-to-day actions are small but mean all the world to others and especially to me. My love and appreciation may not always be transparent, but it is very real, and I just hope one day to reciprocate half of what you all have given me.

WHY ALEXIS IS AN AWARD FINALIST
I enjoy gardening and camping with my husband and children.
“Kings & Queens” by Ava Max
I am truly honored and pleasantly surprised to be named a finalist for the VGM Awards. This recognition was not something I had anticipated, and I am deeply grateful to be considered for such an award. I believe that the key to success lies in hard work, dedication, and a genuine commitment to helping your employees grow into their best selves. By taking the time to listen to their needs and understand their goals, we can significantly enhance our relationships with our teams and improve our daily work environments.
I am convinced that prioritizing the well-being and development of those we lead, showing them the path to success, and providing them with valuable experiences fosters a strong, trusting bond. This approach not only benefits the individuals but also contributes to the overall success of our organization. Thank you once again for this incredible honor. I am truly grateful.
“Alexis is a caring leader who is always willing to help lift others up. She truly believes in investing in her team and embraces change. Recently, VGM Fulfillment embarked on a Lean Six Sigma journey. Alexis’s positive attitude toward embracing the changes is contagious to those around her. We are lucky to have her as part of VGM.”

Mike Mallaro and I participated in and won the Cedar Valley Dancing With The Stars several years ago. I taught him a hip-hop routine in our VGM gym, we got matching outfits, and most importantly…raised $6,000 for the Family & Children’s Council of Black Hawk County! He proudly displays his hard-earned mirror ball trophy.
“Kickstart My Heart” by Mötley Crüe
It is strange for me to be on this side of things because I prefer to be nominating others or generally shouting out the people I work with whenever I can. I would not be here if not for the success of my talented teammates on the Member Success Team. Everything I do is with their best interests in mind, and I share this with them because a win for one of us is a win for all of us!
“Shelby knows the ins and outs of an HME provider’s business, and she is behind the scenes talking through strategies with RAMs and MAMs every single day. Most people have no idea the amount of knowledge she has and the strategy that goes behind her role. I have seen it firsthand and on multiple occasions, either internally with the team, or externally with members or vendor partners. She impresses me with how she moves things forward, both for our customers and for VGM. She has some great relationships, but the breadth of what she brings to the table goes well beyond that.”

Given the incredible talent throughout VGM, I’m deeply humbled to be considered for a VGM Award. I’m grateful to work alongside such smart, caring, and dedicated professionals who make our company exceptional.
“Christina has led an incredible turnaround at United Publications. She’s personally responsible for HME ad sales, which have dramatically improved. She more than doubled HME Business Summit sponsorships this year vs. last year. And she keeps her direct reports engaged, counts on them to be part of the solution, and she cares about all of the team members and the business. Making United Publications a contributor to the ESOP in 2024 is a huge accomplishment, and Christina marched the troops to that goal.”

When I was 15, I started my first job at Kmart and worked there through college, forming some of my best friendships. During the Christmas season, I’d work in the Lay-A-Way department. When customers picked up their purchase we’d head to a loft area, climb up stacks of inventory, then toss items down to other coworkers. Despite the chaos, we had a lot of laughs!

It feels amazing and is a privilege to be selected as an award finalist! VGM is full of talented, dedicated people who I am honored to learn from and walk alongside. Sharing knowledge while having the opportunity to grow my business acumen is an incredible experience. I recall the first Women In Leadership (WIL) meeting I attended where the speaker stated, “There is room for everybody here.” Those words have stuck with me as they encapsulate perfectly what VGM stands for. I am grateful for the support and encouragement from our leadership teams and my colleagues. Being a part of the VGM family is a blessing, and I’m extremely proud to be an employee owner.
WHY JACKIE IS AN AWARD FINALIST
“Jackie isn’t just a rockstar—she’s a superstar. She’s responsible for the relationship development and management of nearly 20% of VGM Insurance’s total book of premium. In addition, as our Team Lead, Jackie mentors and develops the team of Account Managers. Her focus and motivation are firmly on those around her, so she gives her all for her customers and the development of the team. She’s an absolute gem, making such an impact, and we are the organization we are because of her.”

“Casee is a top performer for many reasons. She is selfless to her core. She helps people all day long and never expects anything in return. Casee hears and handles some very difficult situations while ensuring the employees involved feel heard and respected. Casee receives compliments consistently about her ability to help navigate these challenges. WHY AMANDA IS AN AWARD FINALIST
I enjoy baking and most recently have started making my own bread. Professional: I went to college for social work. The lessons I learned throughout those studies have helped me tremendously as an employee, person, and leader at VGM. I have a passion for helping people in tough times and then getting to celebrate them in their success.
“It’s Gonna Be Me” by NSYNC
I am very honored to have been named a VGM award finalist. I work hard each day to push myself to be better and to help our company in any capacity I can. I talk a lot about using every day as your interview, and I use my day-to-day work to really showcase that. I work hard without anything expected in return or to gain anything other than a job well done. Having a manager that supports and encourages you day in and day out is such a blessing as well. I am successful because of the support of so many people, but especially Monica Rogan, who has believed in me and supported me through it all.
“I’ve gotten to work with Amanda in various roles over the last few years, from an ELP cohort member, to leader, to peer and friend. Throughout this, she’s continued to help stretch and shape me into the best leader I can be. Her style and thoughtful approach are admirable, often having a different take on a situation or thinking of something others had overlooked. Amanda embodies many traits that we as a company value and is using those traits to take our company to the next level.”

It’s a tremendous honor to even be nominated for an award. Being named a finalist leaves me almost speechless. I want to thank all my coworkers, past and present, for all the encouragement and hard work these past 16 years. We can’t do it alone. I’m not here today, though, without all the love, support and, at times, too many sacrifices from my incredible wife, Ashley. I can’t do it without her!
“Keith can and will do anything. He fills gaps that nobody else can and will be the first to jump in and assist wherever we need it. Whether it is fixing a broken printer, helping on the production floor, or taking on a customer service role, he will do it all. Keith has a clear vision of processes, finding ways we can improve and become even more efficient and profitable. He has the trust of the employees and can very effectively collaborate to implement new and better ways of doing things. He also has a way to calm a storm and figure out how to make the impossible possible.”
