The opening reception for Ben Miller’s exhibit, “Cape May’s 20th Century Renaissance: From the Pages of The First Resort” will be held at the Carriage House Gallery at the Emlen Physick Estate, on Friday, April 27 at 7pm. Ben has adapted his bestselling book, The First Resort, into this exhibit, featuring rare photographs, video and artifacts showcasing the years immediately before and after Cape May’s Urban Renewal movement. Cape May will join cities and towns nationwide in an interfaith community CROP Walk will be held on Saturday, April 28 at 10am. The CROP Walk will begin at the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington Street, head down to the Washington Street Mall and along the beachfront, then return to the Emlen

Join us for a great time at the Historic Cold Spring Village’s 12th annual ‘Feasting on History’ Restaurant Gala on Tuesday May 1st, 2012 at 6pm. The ‘Feasting on History’ Gala is the HCSV’s signature fundraiser event. Held every year on the first Tuesday in May, the gala features over 40 local restaurants, and you can sample their signature entrees and specialties. In addition, local wineries and distributors sample over 100 wines. The event is held in Hangar #1 at Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum - an excellent venue for an excellent evening. Yard sale devotees, unite. The Borough of West Cape May announces the 5th annual borough-wide yard sale on Saturday, May 12, 2012. The sale begins at 9:00am. The address list will be available on the borough’s website at www. westcapemay.us. If you’d like to have your own sale, call the clerk’s office to register your address, 609-884-1005 extension 101, or you can email drutherford@westcapemay.us. Get your walking shoes and your bargain-hunting glasses on and make a day of it. The West Cape May Borough Wide yard sale is always the best yard sale. Sponsored by the Environmental Commission of West Cape May. The Cape May Artists Cooperative will feature the work of Eliza Dietz, Lee Hadjuk and Mary Stewart in its gallery at the West End Garage from May 4-June 3. A reception will be held on Sunday, May 13 from 1-5pm, and members will be on hand to discuss their works.
