School’s out! And there’s plenty to do for kids at the Nature Center this summer, like exploring all of the creatures who call the Cape May harbor home... 6/20: Animal Outreach Trivia Night At 7pm, Ed McDonough will host a special Animal Outreach Trivia Night at the Cape May Winery; show off your knowledge of trivia AND help a great cause. Call 609-898-3500. 6/22 Delaware Bay Lighthouse Adventure Come aboard the Cape May Whale Watcher or the Spirit of Cape May to view and photograph historic lighthouses of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. 10am to 5pm. Call 609-884-5404. 6/22: 11th Antiques and Fine Crafts Fair Check out over 40 dealers at this event in Wilbraham Park in West Cape May, sponsored by the Greater Cape May Historical Society. Call 609-898-1236. 6/26 Second Annual GLBT and Friends Artist Exhibit The exhibition will take place June 23, June 30, and July 6 from 1pm to 4pm at The Beesley House (605 Route 9 Cape May Court House). Artists are either from the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, or are gay-friendly artists. This year features a GABLES history display, commemorating over 20 years of community service. Private showings can be done by request via GABLES. An opening wine & cheese reception will be hosted by GABLES and take place on Sunday June 23, 2013 from 1pm to 4pm at The Beesley House. 6/25 Crabbing 101 Come aboard the 40-foot Skimmer for a hands-on crabbing experience and demonstration.
