WHERE IS IT? On the bay in North Cape May. WHY SHOULD I GO? You won’t need a harpoon here — the sea life comes to YOU. Some of it will be nicely prepared on the plate, and some of it, like the dolphins, will be swimming across the road from where you’re dining. While you watch for Flipper under a sinking pink sun, we recommend sampling from the restaurant’s well-rounded menu of beach cuisine or sipping on one of Harpoon Henry’s 150 frozen drinks. One reviewer called this hotspot “a Florida Keys place that must have washed north in a hurricane.” And no Key West locale would be complete without the kind of mellow entertainment (live music nightly in season!) that makes you want to breathe deep, kick off your shoes, and order another round. Which is exactly what you’ll find at 91 Beach Drive. INSIDER TIP This is a family place. There’s a sandbox for little kids and corn hole games to play. There’s also a nightly conch-blowing ceremony at sunset, just like they do in the Florida Keys. And don’t fret if it’s cloudy at sundown.
