WENTWORTH SUITE
Recently refurbished, the Wentworth Suite has it all. Up to 150 guests can watch you walk up the aisle, illuminated by flattering natural light that streams in from floor-to-ceiling panelled windows. When the sun’s shining, the doors open out onto the patio for bubbles after the ceremony. There’s also cooling air conditioning for when it gets too hot. Art Deco mirrors on one side of the walls make it even brighter. And, we’ll let you in on a secret: another side of the room draws back to reveal the Marlborough Suite, which can double up as a party space without the need to relocate.

MARLBOROUGH SUITE On the other side of the foldable doors from the Wentworth Suite is the Marlborough Suite. Similar in style, just a little smaller, it also has large bright windows, which open out onto the garden outside. And if it rains? Apparently that’s said to be good luck, and it certainly is at Royal Berkshire, because you’ll get access to our inside bar hidden behind some secret doors – where your canapés and cocktails will be waiting. Light and airy, there are fine details like ivory panelled walls and sparkling chandeliers to give your wedding that little bit of je ne sais quoi. We’re all about the details.

If boho chic is your dream, then this one’s for you. Get married under a pagoda decked with your favourite flowers or colourful bunting. Exchange vows in the cocoon of the old red brick walls, piled high with green flora and fauna. There’s a long grassy aisle, for your walk of a lifetime (and a shorter one if you don’t fancy going the distance in heels). At the end, gee up guests for explosive confetti throwing.

BERKSHIRE SUITE
So you’ve met the Marlborough Suite. And you’ve met the Wentworth Suite. Put them together and what do you get? One giant room called the Berkshire Suite. It’s like a magic trick – fold the doors back and ‘ta-da’! A magnificent room, just for you. Decorate it as you wish, with everything from balloon towers to scattered rose petals. Art Deco style mirrors and floorto-ceiling windows on one side will light up the top table during the day, and by night there’s the dance floor and disco lights. The room opens up onto the terrace and gardens, where you can indulge in treats from the spruced-up horse box (sans horse, of course), which serves up slushies and ice creams. The private access also gives any kids the chance to let off some steam.

EXCLUSIVE USE Imagine if you could have free rein of Royal Berkshire. The entire venue and all of the bedrooms. Everything… all to yourself. Well, you know what? You don’t have to imagine because you can get exclusive use of Royal Berkshire for your wedding!
This means that you and all your guests have more time to enjoy your big day. Family and friends can kick back for the weekend, make the most of the grounds and there’ll be zero chance of being photobombed by someone you don’t know. We can extend the dancing to 1am, too. Because if you’ve got moves like Jagger, you need to show them off.

Walking across the lawns, through brick archways and around the trickling fountain at Royal Berkshire is like going on a treasure hunt. White stone statues here, grand elm trees there, and neat lavender walkways everywhere. Nature just has a certain power of making everything look enchanting – and it also makes for seriously impressive pictures for your photo album!

OUR ROOMS For newlyweds, we recommend checking into the honeymoon suite. The Churchill is our pièce de résistance. Waking up to views over the lily pond and 15 acres of land, you might feel like you’ve accidentally married a millionaire. Take a moment to enjoy the grand curtains, brass bedstead and lounge area.
For the rest of your family and friends, they can continue to enjoy the good vibes of the wedding in one of our 66 bedrooms and five suites. Over in the east wing of the house, the rooms offer both traditional or contemporary style interiors – you can take your pick. We also have family rooms, which provide oodles of space for watching a bit of TV or kicking back on the sofa.

What special moments or surprises during the planning or the celebrations themselves made it unique and personal?
“We were able to incorporate a little bit of us into the celebrations like having a dessert table instead of one dessert, having limoncello as a party favour, having Rob’s friend make his bow tie and having my grandmother’s favorite flower
and precious stones in my earrings – those touches were each small but very special and made the day so personal to us.”
Did you have a theme or a particular style? “We wanted a modern and classy feel without seeming too boring, so went for pastel colours will elegant flower arrangements. We also wanted mixing and mingling so went for long tables and a Friday more casual event as well as the Saturday.”
What do you remember most about the day itself? “Being so happy and seeing all our friends and family in one place enjoying themselves.”
What did you love most about Royal Berkshire? “The indoor and outside space, the modern yet sophisticated feel and the people were so kind especially Dominika.”
Tell us all about THE outfits… “I wanted a dress that matched the theme of the day, classy but not too boring! I went with a dress from Browns Bridge I found which I love! Rob loves his black tie so it was a natural choice! One of his friends made his personalized bow tie for him. On the Friday evening we wore Indian outfits which were a nod to our heritage.”

What tips or advice would you give to future couples? “Think about what parts are especially important to you, whether it’s the vibe or the décor, and focus on those bits the most! The rest will fall into place.”

We have the best of both worlds: rural beauty and great transport links. We’re a 20-minute drive from London Heathrow (making honeymoon escapes super easy), one hour from central London and have easy access to most major motorways.
Born to boogie You can enjoy dancing the night away right up until midnight – or an hour later if you’ve booked exclusive use with us. After that, we’re afraid you turn into a pumpkin! Just joking… that would be weird. Instead, you can carry on the celebrations in the bar.
Easy access Our facilities include ramps in all public areas for wheelchair users, dedicated accessible bedrooms, drop off at the front of the hotel and disabled parking bays.
Recommended by us We have a lovely, friendly extended wedding family, made up of people who want to bring your dream to life. All our recommended suppliers are listed on our website, but you are welcome to bring in your own for decoration and special experiences.
