Precia-Molen GeneSYS™ Enterprise System provides the complete solution for Ensus Precia-Molen has installed GeneSYS™ software for Ensus at its Bio refinery site at Wilton, Teesside providing a total management system for their grain intake operation. This produces a significant part of the UK's Bioethanol demand under the UK's Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation (RTFO), and is one of the largest operations of its type in the world providing a vehicle unloading and intake facility for more than 1.2Mt/yr of wheat. The provision of GeneSYS™ brings the entire vehicle unloading operation, including contract validation, sampling, laboratory testing, weighing and discharge on two Precia-Molen weighbridges under the control of a single PC network. The new system had to be fast enough to cope with a very tight site layout as with an incoming vehicle every 3 minutes it is crucial that the system is fast enough to ensure they have all been tested and accepted for delivery by the time they arrive at the weighbridge. Additionally, it also had to be flexible enough to adapt to the changing needs of Ensus allowing new commodities to be added to the database if necessary. For the project Precia-Molen installed multi-user GeneSYS™ Enterprise on the existing Ensus network, with all the GeneSYS™ applications communicating with a single Microsoft SQL database installed on the dedicated server.
Six pit-mounted VS400S 50,000kg capacity weighbridges were also installed, eleven BI300 driver cabinets with intercoms and five motorised RFID dispensers including ticket printers and badge readers. Additionally, two point-to-point document systems were also supplied along with four electronic message board displays and a surface mounted VS400 weighbridge which is employed for syrup production.
