The fields have been transformed now through hard work of the community members. Over 40 volunteers have been working on the fields. Not only has Gold Standard Ventures very generously donated but National Drilling has also donated $5000 dollars towards the project. They also have donated equipment and crews. The players will be stepping onto the fields for the first time completely unaware that the transformation has taken place. “That is the moment. That is the look I’m waiting for. To see those kids faces when they step out onto the field for the first time. That’s what all this has been for,“ according to Mike. He just wants to be the guy in the bleachers eating a hot dog as the game is going on. He is leaving a legacy that will live on forever. He knows that you impact a community through its youth and now the generations that come after him will have something to build upon.
