By supporting everyday gandhis and the young men featured in THE FIGHT TO FORGIVE, you’re joining the culture of Peace. Our projects are model examples of grassroots peacebuilding that use creative, collaborative, and innovative approaches to foster community reconciliation.

Community Based Project Objectives: • • • • • •

Training ex-combatants as Future Guardians of Peace in post-conflict Liberia Educating ex-combatants and financially supporting their schooling Linking ecological restoration to community peacebuilding initiatives Sustaining food self-sufficiency, drought protection and hygienic waste management through permaculture Supporting innovative community-based peacebuilding projects: Mobile Peace Teams, Cross-Border Soccer Peace Games and Traditional Peace Ceremonies Using multi-media tools to document and share stories of peace and healing—linking these success stories to marginalized members of outside communities

Fundraising Focus: MOBILE PEACE TEAMS Please consider supporting the Future Guardians of Peace as they take their peacebuilding initiatives to neighboring communities and beyond. “Mobile Peace Teams” of former Liberian child soldiers who have completed the everyday gandhis peacebuilder training program travel into nearby communities and conduct peacebuilding forums through “peace soccer games.” The goal of these events is to interact and engage community members with the act of playing, eating, and talking peace together. These forums provide the Future Guardians of Peace grassroots opportunities to share their stories and engage other disaffected youth, soccer game spectators, and influential community elders. These community events help protect the fragile peace that exists in post-conflict rural Liberia.
