Lecture Chairs For The Corporate Market

ďƒ˜ An increasing number of organisations are starting to invest in lecture chairs as they add an auditorium to their corporate facilities. ďƒ˜ These spaces can be used for a variety of purposes from presentations to training sessions to product launches, and can also provide an additional revenue stream if they are hired out to others. ďƒ˜ An auditorium allows companies to gather a large number of employees in one place and is ideal for those which need to communicate to large groups of staff or customers at once.

Planning a Corporate Auditorium  When planning a corporate auditorium there are various factors that need to be taken into account in addition to the lecture chairs – acoustics, sightlines, aesthetics, fire regulations, disability access, lighting – the list goes on.  If you look for a specialist seating supplier who is experienced in this market, they will often be able to take care of the whole process for you.  If you are creating a brand new auditorium in an empty space then you will probably want to have a tiered floor fitted to accommodate the seating – this is key to getting the sight lines right and aids the acoustics. If your seating is correctly fitted to a tired floor with the right step heights, it will allow delegates to clearly see and hear what is going on.  With a tiered floor and fixed rows of seating comes a responsibility to ensure that walkways, access, and distance to exits comply with fire regulations. Your seating supplier should be fully au fait with current legislation and design a seating plan in line with British Standards and best practice.

Corporate Lecture Chairs  Lecture chairs can be supplied in various formats – with rows of fixed desks, individual folding desks or anti-panic writing tablets. The latter are a good option if a desk isn’t always required as they fold away into the arm when not in use.

 Banks of 2 or 3 removable seats can be fitted to the front row to allow space for wheelchair users when required. If you choose seating with rows of fixed desks then the removable seats can be supplied with portable front row desks which are on castors rather than fixed to the floor.  It’s key to ensure that whatever seats you choose are comfortable for patrons to sit in for periods of up to several hours. Uncomfortable chairs lead to distraction and a lack of focus on what is being presented. This could make your company memorable for all the wrong reasons!  Look for deep cushioned lecture chairs with high backs and test them out for yourself if you can before committing to a purchase.  Most reputable suppliers will be able to provide you with a sample chair for testing, or ask if there’s somewhere local the seats you are interested in are already installed and see if you can go and look at them and try them out in a live location.

Popular Lecture Chairs ďƒ˜ Below are examples of some popular lecture chairs featuring desks in various formats. These chairs can also be supplied with the option of individual folding writing desks.

ďƒ˜ Diploma lecture chairs are compact and economical, featuring rows of fixed desking.

ďƒ˜ Aspire lecture chairs feature a high back and deeply cushioned seat with rows of desking, seen here fitted in a curve to match the configuration of the seating.
