ASSOCIATE IN TECHNICAL ARTS (ATA) The degree of Associate in Technical Arts (ATA) is awarded for completion of a program of study in technical education, the purpose of which is to prepare students for related employment with skills that meet the needs of the business community. To earn this degree the student must successfully complete a minimum of 90 credits, with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0, which must include:

Select a course from the AAS – DTA quantitative skills list, or complete the course(s) identified as the quantitative skills course(s) in the ATA curriculum guide for the appropriate degree. C. Human Relations Minimum of 3 credits. Select from BUS 110D, BUS 165, CMST& 210, CMST& 230, H DEV 155, HLTH 150D 3. Computer Literacy will be embedded or listed as a requirement of the program. Each technical program will be responsible for students’ use of computers and technology as appropriate in their course of study. 4. Appropriate safety, industrial safety, and environmental awareness instruction will be included in the specific technical program requirements. 5. Students must complete a diversity course. Courses are listed in the Class Schedule with a Diversity Class Attribute. The diversity course may also be used to meet degree requirements, such as Communications, depending on the course selected, although the credit will only be counted once. 6. Satisfy all requirements described earlier in graduation requirements for all certificates and degrees.
