THEN: 8STOPS7 was formed in Ventura County, Ca. Members of the band had been creating local buzz for the better part of a decade with some of their previous projects. When 8stops7 met in singer Evan SulaGoff's garage to play together for the first time, all four original members knew they weren't just starting another project, they were forming a family. After a short stint in the local club scene 8stops7 finished off the decade moving their new family into their new home, Warner Bros/Reprise Records. * 8STOPS7's major label debut, “In Moderation” was produced by acclaimed producer Toby Wright (KoRn, Alice In Chains, Sevendust). What resulted from this pairing was a blend of high energetic rockers and a selection of ballads that continues to receive rave reviews from old and new fans alike. "In Moderation" at present has sold 400,000 copies and counting. 8STOPS7 parted ways with Warner in 2001 joining the rank and file list of popular artists like POE, Orgy, Cowboy Mouth, Wilco, and numerous others sharing the same fate: "A list of 30 bands to be dropped ... was turned in to corporate [AOL Time Warner executives] last year…” – The Baltimore Sun (2002). The deal responsible for the unprecedented downsize, the merger of Time Warner and AOL, is now considered to be one of the “worst business deals ever.” - Bloomberg Business Week (2007). “To call the transaction the worst in history, as it is now taught in business schools, does not begin to tell the story…” – The New York Times (2010) Proving that a botched label deal would never stop them from doing what is in their blood; 8STOPS7 recovered and kept moving forward… 8STOPS7's next release, “Bend”, written in the woods of Bend, Oregon, was released independently in 2006 and gave their fans fifteen songs showcasing the range of a band with a little history on their side. Having just parted ways with their record label, the release of "Bend" was an

8STOPS7 Press Release/Bio overwhelming success and a testament to the drive, perseverance and commitment of a band dedicated to their craft and their fans. "Bend", available everywhere, also continues to move copies off the proverbial 'shelf'.

“Once upon a time, a band from Ventura made it big — Billboard big, video game big, major-label big. Then, through no fault of its own, things got weird. Try as it did to keep steady when the ground fell out from under the music industry, 8Stops7 lost its footing. That was then and this is…” - Michelle C. NOW: 8STOPS7 has just released what is to be their most anticipated album yet, “Fables.” This album is a landmark and turning point in the band’s career. It is their first in five years since “Bend”, and their first record recorded and co-written with family member since 2006, Rodney Amieva. The result is a new energetic, branded sound for the guys—a natural evolution. Produced by Armand John Anthony at Satellite Studios in Ventura, “Fables” has proven to be a raw and powerful experience, and worth the wait:

“[Fables], like all previous efforts by the band, culls from myriad sources– the band’s style varying from track-to-track with an impressive abandon, ignoring the need to be easily cataloged or cross-referenced. This is a group that relishes their unique sound, and executes it to devastating effect on this record. Hard-rock at its finest.” -
