THE 12 Tenors are stopping by the Palma Auditorium as part of their 10th Anniversary tour. The talented singers will take to the stage and perform a set of assorted classics, from Bohemian Rhapsody to the opera classic Nessun Dorma and the Gypsy Kings’ Volare to Joe Cocker’s You can leave your hat on. The tenors have all had an excellent musical education and their voices embody so many instruments they can replicate an entire orchestra. The 12 Tenors’ goal is to put

an end to the stereotype that tenors only know how to sing opera. With their programme, they demonstrate that their voices suit not only classical music but an entire range, from zarzuela to pop. Expect great vocal harmonies, refined dance routines and a ‘bit of cheek’ from the boys which will have you dancing in the aisles. The show starts at 9pm, tickets range from €39 and can be bought from: http://auditoriumpalma.com/en/calendarof-shows/the-12-tenors.

WORK by local artist Andreu Maim is currently on exhibition at Rialto Living in Palma. Maimo, who was born in the small village of Felanitx in 1946, strives throughout his work to depict everyday objects in great depth, converting them into art using a combination of poetic licence and simple techniques. He also seeks to discover the hidden tensions to be found in nature and uses decaying fruits and old twisted branches to make observations about the relentless passage of time. The exhibition will run until March 20 and on Thursday March 22 the artist will present his new book in Rialto Living at 6.30pm (please note that this event will be in Catalan.)
