Tony Blair and wife on Spanish Costa holiday TONY and Cherie Blair have been spotted together in public for the first time in months on am Andalucian getaway. The pair have been on holiday in Marbella, on the Costa del Sol. They looked relaxed in each other’s company as they enjoyed the Mediterranean sunshine.

The holiday comes after a stressful period in their marriage following allegations of an affair between Blair, 60, and Wendi, Deng, 45, the former wife of media tycoon Rupert Murdoch. Murdoch has recently spoken out publicly over the allegations, saying that he divorced wife

Wendi because of claims she was close to the former prime minister. In February it was revealed that Murdoch’s wife had written in her diary about Tony Blair, praising his ‘good body’ and his ‘butt’. In a list of reasons why she was ‘so missing Tony’, Deng gushed in

Spain leads in organ donation DESPITE a series of cutbacks to the health service as a result of the economic crisis, Spain is still leading the way in terms of organ donations and transplants. Since its inception 25 years ago in 1989, the Spanish National Transplant Organization (ONT) has overseen more than 90,500 organ transplant operations. ONT has managed some 57,000 kidney transplants, 21,576 liver transplants, 7,024 heart transplants, 3,200 lung transplants and over 1,500 pancreas transplant operations. These impressive figures have been helped by the fact that Spain has the highest rate of

organ donors in the world. Last year, around 1,655 people in Spain donated their organs, with an average of 35.1 donors per million people, well above the European Union average of 19.2 per million. According to ONT, in 2013 the average number of donors in Spain was between five and six donors per day. However, these figures vary, with peaks of 14, 15 or 16 donors at times. It was during one of these peaks that the ONT set a new record, achieving a record 45 transplants in one day. In 2010 ONT was awarded the Prince of Asturias Award for International Co-operation.

poor English about Blair’s ‘pierce blue eyes. Love his eyes. Also I love his power on the stage’. Last month, Murdoch said that he went straight to a divorce lawyer following claims that Blair and Deng met up while he was away from his ranch in Carmel, California. Although there is no firm evidence that Deng and Blair had an affair, Murdoch, 83, said that the allegations of secret trysts played a major role in his decision to end his 14-year marriage. Blair, who has been married to Cherie, 59, since 1980, has denied any affair with Deng. The Blairs had not been photographed together since Nelson Mandela's Memorial Service in Johannesburg, South Africa, in December. Blair, who is godfather to one of Murdoch's daughters, has denied any affair but has not spoken publicly about the claims.

FORMER PM: Blair.
