At Espersen Fish factory they used ceiling mounted calorifiers to warm up the production area where the employees worked on the fish produ c t s . To avoid this the operatives generally turned off the calorifiers, which of course resulted in room temperatures below specification. There was a need to provide conditioned air to the room – without causing a draught. At Euro Air it was clear that the problem could not be solved with a standard solution. There was a need for two completely different ways of introducing the a i r, o n e d e s i g n f o r c o o l i n g a n d o n e d e s i g n f o r h e a t i n g . T h e c h o s e n s o l u tion was a Euro Air membrane system which made it possible to combine the low impulse (permeable) ducts potential for ensuring low velocities in the occupied zone during cooling mode, combined with high impulse slot diffusers designed to operate during heating mode. The system has been installed since 1999 and the employees no longer complain about a draught.
