Local legends celebrate 80th Birthdays!

On 1 June, friends, family and community members gathered at Sala Thai in Eumundi to celebrate not only the owner John Etheridge's 80th birthday, but also a select group of other local legends who have recently, or were soon to celebrate their own 80th birthdays. Congratulations to you all on achieving such a wonderful milestone!

Sunny Brae plaque unveiled

A delightful afternoon tea was held at the Eumundi Showgrounds on 1 June to celebrate the unveiling of the new plaque for Sunny Brae building – originally the local hospital. The unveiling was conducted by Donna and Fiona, members of the Peachey family. The plaque replaces the original one that was lost 25 years ago.

ESS presentation

Local Member for Ninderry Dan Purdie MP recently met Eumundi State School (ESS) Principal Rob Jennings to present him with a book entitled History of Eumundi, Volume 1 1873 -1919. The book was published by the Eumundi Museum and includes more than 100 photos of the first 5 decades since European settlement.

Kenilworth ArtsFest

The sun shone brightly on the final day of the 27th annual Kenilworth ArtsFest, a celebration that has grown in both success and popularity over the years. Families flocked to the event, enjoying the diverse exhibition and the engaging, informative stalls designed for family fun. Visitors were treated to a wide array of artworks displayed in a hall beautifully transformed into a gallery space.
