Ethan Ruby

Ethan Ruby, Esq., is a New York-based attorney and licensed independent insurance adjuster with a concentration in labor law, insurance defense, and high-exposure claims. He built his academic foundation at the Bronx High School of Science, later attending Binghamton University and the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. He currently works as a Senior Claim Specialist at National Claim Services. His experience includes litigation, mediation, and the management of complex risk transfer strategies. His legal background is supported by additional licenses in real estate, notary services, and adjusting, contributing to a well-rounded professional profile. Born in 1995 and raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, he grew up in a bilingual household with dual citizenship in the United States and France. He credits his parents’ success in the hospitality industry as a source of inspiration and an example of leadership and dedication. During high school, Ethan was active in sports and served on a state-champion mock trial team. He began his college education in New Orleans, where he also participated in community service work supporting local youth. He later transferred and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics, and Law in December 2017. Before entering law school, Attorney Ethan Ruby gained hands-on experience as a paralegal at a Wall Street immigration law firm and served as a Judicial Intern at the New York County Supreme Court. These early roles gave him exposure to both legal proceedings and case management. During law school, he joined the mediation clinic and became an Associate Editor for a legal journal. He also interned at several public service organizations. After earning his law degree in 2021 and passing the New York Bar, he began practicing law, focusing on labor law, negligence defense, and insurance litigation. His roles included drafting legal documents, reviewing medical records, attending court proceedings, and managing discovery.
