Blend Word Building

Instructions: 1. Have the child place the blend sounds at the top of his working area. 2. If the child is new to blend sounds, you might want to say each blend sound first so he/she can hear it. 3. Have the child pick up a picture and say the name of the picture. 4. Ask him/her to think of the sound they hear at the beginning of the word, and try to find the correct letters at the top. Repeat the exercise until all the cards have been matched. Control of error: There are four cards to each blend sound.
