Young Scientists

In October 2022, ESWI opened the call for applications for the 2023 Claude Hannoun Prize for Best Body of Work and the Young Scientist Vaccine Innovation Award. These awards form a central part of the Young Scientist Programme which was launched by ESWI in 2009. With the Claude Hannoun Prize for Best Body of Work, ESWI highlights and drives the work of young scientists in the field of respiratory virus infections. To broaden the network and with the support of CLS Seqirus, ESWI launched the Young Scientist Vaccine Innovation Award in 2020, recognising exceptional research by promising young scientists in the field of influenza vaccine development.

The Young scientist travel fund is geared towards supporting the travel and registration costs of young scientists at the conferences.
