Estevan Mercury OBITUARIES Glenda (Switzer) Knox
Glenda (Switzer) Knox, age 50 years, of Forget, Sask., passed away Dec. 7, 2012 at Regina after a brief battle with cancer. The Memorial Service was held at 2 p.m. on Dec. 19, 2012 from the Hall in Aneroid, with Laura Balas officiating. The organist was Glenna Switzer with songs by Kathy Grant and Jim Harbor. Life Tribute was presented by Sandy Stewart. Power Point Presentation by Tiffany Stepp. Urn Bearer wass Bobbi-Jo Davis. Ushers: Brenda Switzer, Blaine Switzer, Beth Kirkpatrick, Bev Switzer, and Ben Switzer. Honorary Pallbearers: All her nieces and nephews - Glenn Switzer, Nicole Switzer, Beau Switzer, Kyle Switzer, Jane Lockinger, Bailee Switzer, Jason Bouvier, Jody Bouvier, Bridgette Pinter, Paige Knox, Dylan Knox, Travis Lansberry, Chauncey Lansberry, Tye Lansberry, Kyreon Geiger, Rylan Geiger and Jelaine Geiger. Glenda is survived by her husband of 29 years, Harold, Forget, Sask.; and one daughter Bobbi-Jo (Cory) Davis of Estevan; brothers, Bruce (Lorna) Switzer, Waldeck, Sask., Bob (Gail) Switzer, Aneroid, Sask.; sister, Marilyn (Don) Bouvier, Red Deer, Alta.; brother-in-law, Allan (Cathy) Knox, Ponteix, Sask.; sistersin-law, Brenda (Dale) Lansberry, Fort MacMurray, Alta., and Lois (Harold) Geiger, Bracken, Sask.; Godchild, Amy Kate Ameel. She was predeceased by her parents, Earl and Megan Switzer; parents-in-law, Percy and Marj Knox; sister-in-law, Sandra Switzer; grandparents, John and Maggie George and Ben and Anna Switzer. Glenda was born, January 31, 1962 in Kincaid, Sask., and was raised on a farm south of Aneroid. She attended school in Aneroid and graduated from Kincaid Central School. She attended Medicine Hat College and obtained a diploma in Business Administration. Glenda held various jobs such as an Office Worker, School Bus Driver, Post Office Employee, Grocery Store Clerk, and at the time of her death, Glenda was employed by Estevan Diversified Services as a Direct Support Professional. Glenda’s greatest joy and satisfaction was helping others! Memorial donations in her memory may be made to Telemiracle. Glenda will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her family and friends. OBITUARIES Terrance “Terry� Donald Wrigley
It is with heavy hearts and much sadness we announce the death of Terry Wrigley on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 63 years of age. Terry was born on August 24, 1949 in Bienfait, Sask. to Donald “Dick� and Olga (nee Krupka) Wrigley. In his early childhood, the family moved to the Sherness/Hanna, Alberta area, where Terry grew up as a fan of the Calgary Stampeders. Terry was predeceased by his dad, Dick in 1962; his brother, Lyle in 1968; his mother, Olga Owen in 1995; as well as other relatives and friends. Terry worked at McGavin’s Bakery until it closed and was on medical leave from his painting job with the City of Regina, when he passed away. He loved animals, big cars, motorcycles, and was a proud retired member of the Regina Motorcycle Association Inc. (RMAI). Terry also loved cooking, especially making soup and cabbage rolls that he could share with others. Terry is survived and will be lovingly remembered by his partner and best friend, Darlene Hawes; daughter Rhonda (Terry); and son Conrad. Also missing him are his adored grandchildren Vanessa, Ashley (Zach), Cody, Tanner; and great-grandchildren Mikaylee and Mackenzie. Terry will also be remembered by his aunts, cousins, Darlene’s family and many friends. Motorcycle lovers, were asked please wear their leathers. Funeral Service was held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, Sask., on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. with a reception following. Interment in Forest Glen Cemetery, Estevan, Sask. is planned for 2013. In lieu of flowers, donations in memoriam may be made to the Regina Humane Society, PO Box 3143 Stn. Main, Regina, SK, S4P 3G7.
