Burness Mrs. Elma Burness of Alameda, SK. passed away at the Galloway Health Centre, Oxbow on Wednesday, Januar y 18, 2017 at the age of 96. Elma is survived by one son Ron (Linda) Burness of Alameda; one daughter Bonnie (Bill) Froese of Good Spirit Lake, SK.; seven grandchildren: Patrick (Ivy), Terra, Jeremy (Sarah), Jonathan (Nadine), Chad (Rhonda), Tasha (Rick) and Nathan (Karen); t welve greatgrandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; Jack Messham (Patr ick and Terra’s father). Elma is also survived by her other “grandchildren” as she was considered a special grandmother to many from outside the family. She was predeceased by her husband Bill; daughter Donna Messham; grandson Mark Messham; parents Albert and Elma (Wallis) McCall; three siblings: Wally, Jim and Audrey. The funeral service was held at the Alameda United Church, Alameda, SK. on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jackie van’t Voort officiating. The interment at the Alameda Cemetery will take place at a later date. Donations in memory of Elma can be given to a charity of one’s choice. Arrangements in care of Redpath Funeral Home, Oxbow, SK. Campbell Forrester 1919 - 2017 Campbell Forrester passed away on January 18, 2017 in Estevan, SK. Campbell was born on February 13, 1919 on the farm west of Bromhead, SK. Camby was predeceased by his wife Ruby on December 4, 2015. For 40 years they farmed near Torquay, SK where they raised their nine children. Camby was a councillor for Rural Municipality #6 for 32 consecutive years. He was also a Torquay Credit Union board member for 27 years. Camby was predeceased by his daughter Sharon Hutt and grandsons, Kohl Pederson and Nicholas Forrester. He is survived by children and grandchildren: Louise (Hartley) Halvorson and their family, Jeremy (Robyn), Danielle (Stephanie), Dustin (Alison) and Lakin (Chris) Cozman; Laurine Forrester; son-in-law Ken Hutt and his family, Wendy (Jim) Jaworski, Bobby (Jody), Amy Hutt (Kris Dutchak) and Dana (Krystal); Gerry (Joanne) Forrester and their family, Jared, Ashley Forrester and Derek (Karla); Duane Forrester and his son Jordan; Glen Forrester; Dale Forrester (Cheryl Oshaway) and his daughter Angelica (Kyle Strawford); Judy (Dayle) Pederson and their family, Dieta (Russell) Snider, Tyson (Ulyana), Alesha (Justin) Bloor, Shea (Kayla) and Rhett; Janice (Jody) Bashutsky and family Jessy (Kevin) Roszell, J.C. and Jake. Camby is also survived by 26 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; brother-in-law Andre Bouthillette and many other relatives. Camby was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Louise Forrester; brothers, Gordon (Edna), Lonny and Jim; sister Helen Bouthillette and two siblings in infancy. The family would like to thank the staff at Hill View Manor, Estevan, for the care they have given to Camby since 2009. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Trintiy Lutheran Church, Estevan, with Pastor Stewart Miller officiating. The lunch reception will be held immediately following the service in the church social hall and the interment will take place at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Torquay.Friends so wishing may make donations to the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Fund, Box 57, Torquay, SK, S0C 2L0 in memory of Campbell. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan.

Joseph E. Gervais 1922 - 2017 Joseph passed away peacefully on Sunday, Januar y 8, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Estevan, SK at the age of 94 years. Joseph will be lovingly remembered by his daughter JoAnn Byers; grandson Corey Byers; sister in law Geraldine Gervais; brother Lawrence Gervais as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joseph was predeceased by his loving wife Alice; parents, Ra o u l a n d Re g i n e ; s i s te rs, Yvette Gervais, Aline (Rene) Phaneuf and Yvonne (Lawrence) LaCoste and Angeline (Arthur) Friesen; brothers, Edmond Gervais, Paul (Esther) Gervais, Roland Gervais and Raymond (Clara) Gervais and sister in law Donna Gervais. The Funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist R.C. Church with Rev. Brian Meredith presiding. The interment took place immediately following the service at Souris Valley Memorial Gardens and the lunch reception was held at the church auditorium. Those so wishing may make donations to the New Estevan Regional Nursing Home, 1201 - 2nd Street, Estevan, SK, S4A 0M1 in Joseph’s memory. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Services, Estevan. Thank You Joe’s family would like to thank Father Brian and the choir for the lovely Mass. The CWL for taking care of the lunch. Also, the Knights of Columbus and the Estevan Legion for their farewell to Dad. I would like to thank family and friends for being there for us.
