blender. Yes, of course I knew they were both derived from corn—but popcorn is what you eat at the movies and I use cornmeal for, among other things, breads and dusting pizza crusts. But I was not thinking the obvious: Popcorn kernels are dried corn. Cornmeal is ground dried corn kernels. Popcorn in the blender = cornmeal. Voilà ! 1 cup unpopped white popcorn kernels Put the popcorn in the blender jar (a grain container if you have one) and process on low for 5 seconds. Turn the power to high and blend for another 30 seconds or until very fine.
