A VST OmegaCAM colour-composite image of the spiral galaxy NGCÂ 3628 formed from exposures in Sloan g, r and i filters. This Sb galaxy is at a distance of about 12 Mpc and, with M65 and M66, forms the Leo Triplet, a group of interacting galaxies. NGCÂ 3628 is viewed almost edge-on and the dust clouds in the disc are very prominent. See eso1126 for more details.
