Candidates are selected by USC faculty and staff from an extremely competitive national pool. Applicants pursue the most demanding curriculum and achieve at the highest level.

Competitive applicants will be at the top of the applicant pool with respect to academic achievement. In addition to academic criteria, candidates’ talent, perseverance, innovation, involvement and leadership are considered.

Selected on the basis of PSAT performance. Entering first-year students are considered if they have been designated National Merit Finalists and name USC as their first-choice college with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation by May 30.

Submit a completed Common Application with required materials by the Early Action deadline of November 1. For majors requiring a portfolio or audition, apply by the December 1 Regular Decision deadline.

By mid-February, the Office of Undergraduate Admission will notify candidates chosen to move forward in the scholarship process about their next steps.

Students will be contacted by the sponsoring agency.

Competitive applicants will be at the top of the applicant pool with respect to academic achievement. In addition to academic criteria, candidates’ talent, perseverance, innovation, involvement and leadership are considered. Applicants must be international students. At USC, an international student is an individual of foreign nationality who will be entering, or has already entered, the United States with a student visa.

Applicants take the most demanding curriculum and achieve at the highest level. Competitive candidates will be at the top of our applicant pool with respect to academic achievement. Strong emphasis is placed on leadership in school and community service. Selection criteria is both merit- and needbased.

Submit a completed Common Application along with all supporting documents, including proof of financial support. No additional application is required. Candidates are selected by USC faculty and staff from an extremely competitive pool. Selection is based on a comprehensive review of the admission application, including but not limited to grade point average in transferable courses and rigor of coursework. Competitive candidates will have an average GPA above 3.7 and more than 30 transferable units by February 15.

Submit a completed Common Application with required materials and transcripts showing fall 2024 grades by February 15.

Hong Kong Schools Alumni Federation

Continuing undergraduate, graduate and professional students. Both domestic and international students may apply.

Applicants must have a permanent address in an area with a USC alumni group. Demonstrated leadership is important.

Scholarships are awarded based on merit and/or need-based criteria. Candidates should have a minimum 3 0 GPA (on a 4 0 scale), demonstrate active involvement in the Asian Pacific American community, and be enrolled in a full-time academic program at USC. Awarded students are required to complete 15 community service hours with APAA.

Incoming and continuing undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

Competitive candidates will have demonstrated a strong leadership or community service commitment in the Black Community. Selection generally prioritizes both merit and financial need. Limited meritonly scholarships are available, as noted on our website. Awarded students are required to complete community service hours (20 hours, undergraduate student; 10 hours, graduate student).

Continuing undergraduate students.

Applicant must be a direct descendant (e.g., grandchild or great-grandchild) of:

1) a person who received an undergraduate degree from USC 50 or more years ago, OR 2) a person who received an undergraduate degree from a college or university 50 or more years ago and later received a graduate degree from USC. Selection criteria include academic achievement, potential for leadership and community service.

Dr. Joseph Medicine Crow Native Leadership

Competitive candidates will be at the top of our applicant pool with respect to academic achievement. Emphasis is placed on leadership within and outside the Jewish community. Recipients are expected to become involved with the USC Jewish community and to volunteer for prospective Jewish student recruitment activities.

Incoming and continuing undergraduate, graduate and professional students.

USC Lambda awards scholarships in multiple academic disciplines to incoming and transferring undergraduates and to graduate students regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.Scholarship awards are based on academic achievement, personal merit, and contribution to the LGBTQ+ community. Recipients must complete 20 hours of required service.

Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement (minimum 3 0 GPA on a 4 0 scale), leadership and active involvment in the Latinx community. Scholarships are awarded to full-time USC students, based on financial need and merit. Scholars are required to participate in various professional development activities throughout the year.

In addition to being strong students, candidates for this award will demonstrate involvement, service, and leadership in the Native American, Alaska Native and/or Native Hawaiian communities.

Named for and honoring the legacy of the first member of the Apsáalooke (Crow) tribe to earn a master’s degree (conferred by USC), this award ensures that future generations have the opportunity to make lasting contributions to academia and the global community.

The NTSAF assists entering freshmen, transfers and graduate students with high financial need who also demonstrate an extraordinary level of community awareness in their pursuit of higher education at USC. First-generation college students and local area applicants are given primary consideration in the selection process. However, please note that the scholarship is not limited to these populations.

Town and Gown of USC Merit Scholarship

• $6,000-$8,000 Continuing undergraduate students.

Applicants must be the siblings, children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren of USC alumni.

USC Yellow Ribbon Award

• $10,000 for undergraduate tuition and $15,000 for graduate tuition. Awarded annually until graduation, as long as all criteria are met.

Incoming and continuing undergraduate and graduate students.

Available to U.S. citizens and permanent residents of Southern California with a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.4. Additional considerations include school activities, community engagement, leadership roles and accolades. An interview is required.
