Few people in the Occident could imagine the Spread of Islam as the reason which transformed the market in a global phenomenon. Few people in the Occident could imagine that the idea of market between the Muslims traders was very similar to the capitalism free from pressures of the States. And few in the Occident could imagine that these important traders of islamic communities where the inventors of complex credit system and that they were the executors of the first transactions with checks that could be endorsed or transferred. In conclusion, nowadays we could explain to many american and european financiers that most part of their theories about the free market and finances come from a very different social and moral world. The reflections of thinkers as Al-Tusi (1207-1274) could result very surprising for our culture; this thinker considers the market as a sample of the divine principle of mutual aid, based in cooperation instead of competence. Only in societies with these principles we could observe “societies with no money” (sharika-al-mafalis), traders with a capital solely based in their reputation, their honor and their word. Only in this society, money could not be used as an end, as Al-Ghazali, another distinguished thinker stated ,“money was not created to earn money”. Both I and the School I ran, we belong to a different culture of the distinguished school of Islamic thinkers. We belong to a society where money is a good in itself, independent and very difficult to control sometimes, as it is also a good without linkage to moral rules or social compromises. It would be absurd to deny that I have the solid purpose to teach in my country some of the concepts and financial products that would be advised against in an Islamic society. But other thing would not have sense. I have the solid conviction to give an opportunity to the students of the ESCUELA DE FINANZAS to get to know money perspectives and debt and investment instruments unusual to them. Let me admit you what I really wish: to give a chance to students in order to go in depth with perspectives different to Ethics. This is my humble service to their professional development, but also to their individual freedom. This is my humble service to a gradual achievement of full understanding between two cultures with common roots, but different sometimes. ESCUELA DE FINANZAS is a Business School with his Campus of Excellence located in the town of Oleiros, few kilometers from the city A Coruña. The School has been working for more than a decade in a successful educative project; more than six hundred professionals in banking and enterprises from Spain and Latin America have studied here.
