- La iguana habita en todo el territorio de Panamá. La Reserva Silvestre Isla Iguana ubicada cerca a Pedasí debe su nombre a la gran cantidad de estos animales que habitan en ella. - En sus rituales de cortejo y defensa realizan fuertes movimientos, levantando el cuerpo y agitando la cabeza. - Vive en los árboles y utiliza sus largas uñas para trepar en ellos. - Tiene un promedio de vida de 20 años, puede alcanzar una longitud de 1.8 metros. - Posee un tercer ojo que parece una escama pálida en la cabeza. 56
