AGRONOMY AGRONOMY UPDATE Matt Kimball

Greetings, We deep tined the greens on both courses this week. This will alleviate the water from ponding on the surface which will cause bigger problems if we do not remedy it. We plan to add some much-needed drainage to the approach on #4 Ghost when conditions are right. What we need is a good deep freeze, which we might get later next week would be a perfect time for us to get this work done. We continue working on the landscaped beds at both clubhouses. This project should be completed soon. We continue adding sand and wood chips to the saturated walking paths to increase the walkability of these areas. Matt Kimball

MEMBERSHIP MEMBERSHIP UPDATE Matt Whitfield

Our Pumpkin family continues to grow as we’ve welcomed 5 new members to our membership group over the past month! As our growth continues, please engage, and introduce yourself to any fresh faces at the club when you have an opportunity! The 2023 Discover Membership program has ended and is no longer available. In total, it was once again a successful program as we enrolled 12 Discover (Trial) Members in 2023 with 5 converting to full membership status! Initiation Fee update: our Initiation Fees are still $10,000.00 (Junior Executive (under 40 years old)) and $20,000.00 (Full Golf (over 40 years old)) however that will be changing soon due to us approaching a Full Membership Roster and starting to build a wait list. As we welcome new members now, the initiation fee will gradually increase by $2,500.00 for every 10 members that join. The target is to establish a waitlist, with Full Golf memberships priced at $30,000.00 and Junior Executive memberships at $20,000.00 by spring 2024. Currently, we have 40 (39) openings remaining, and there's definitely a sense of urgency. It's a simple "first come, first served, first secured" situation. If you have any friends/colleagues interested - it would benefit them to join sooner than later sooner. Pease keep me posted!

As always, we continue to ask for everyone’s commitment (year-round) with scheduling (and cancelling) tee-times correctly/accurately via EZ Links in order to maximize access for all members. Thanks! Please remember proper course etiquette while playing as well – we ask that you and your guests please repair ball marks on greens, sand divots, rake bunkers and always obey power carts rules when playing our beautiful courses! As a reminder, our dress code is posted in many areas of the club therefore please adhere to our policies. Shirts must be tucked in for men and hats must be worn in the forward position. THANK YOU! ATTENTION LADIES: Thank you for the great season!...we were happy to see many more ladies join our groups this year and look forward to building on that in 2024! A very special thanks to Chuck DaSilva, PGA Director of Instruction, for his fantastic work with Operation 36 and individual clinics in 2023! If you are a female member interested in meeting other ladies even in a casual setting, please email me at mwhitfield@pumpkinridge.com and I can connect you with others. We’re actively working with our ladies’ groups on club programming/events in 2024! More to come…. I/we are appreciative of everyone’s support! Happy Holidays!

GOLF - GHOST CREEK PRO SHOP - GHOST CREEK GOLF RULES & TIPS Sebastain Stewart

The Ghost Creek Golf Course has never been better! Conditions are flawless, the weather is beautiful, and it is an absolute must play right now! We have reinstated the Marshal/Starter program on the weekends here at Ghost to try and help the pace of play and get all the tee times out in a timely and organized manner. Ever wondered why you hit it really well on the range, but it doesn't translate to the course? Sounds like all you need is an on course playing lesson to get a second perspective on what you need to do to stripe golf shots just like you do on the range! Email Sebastain your Ghost Creek Head Golf Professional! sstewart@pumpkinridge.com

Merchandise Ghost & Witch Update Below: All new Ghost & Witch Rawhide Headcovers available in both golf shops Stitch & Peter Millar men's polos available in Witch Hollow Apparel from Belyn Key & San Soleil for women also in Witch Women's Greg Norman in the Ghost Golf Shop 4th of July Golf Shop Sale, be on the lookout!!! If you have any special orders, please contact Jared Duvall to submit your order! jduvall@pumpkinridge.com

PRO TIP: Alright, we are going to go through a ball position crash course for you to understand where the ball should be on every golf club. All your wedges are going to go under your trail eye (That's right eye for righty, left eye for lefty) I want all your mid irons, 9-7 to go directly under your nose (Obviously with the right distance between you and the ball) Long irons, hybrids, and woods so 6-3 iron & all hybrids/woods will go under the lead eye Last but not least your Driver will go under the lead ear Side note: Remember "Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast" PAGE 9
