WELCOME GENERAL MANAGER MESSAGE John Sexton
Dear Members, As the holiday season winds to a close, we at Tarpon Cove Yacht & Racquet Club want to express our heartfelt wishes for a happy and healthy new year to our entire membership family. We hope your holidays were as joyous and happy as you wished for. We want to thank everyone who joined us for the Holiday Reception on December 20th. It was a remarkably fun event with dining, dancing and a joyous atmosphere all around. Even the chilly weather couldn’t put a damper on the festivities. The new year brings a season of new beginnings and exciting developments, and we are overjoyed that the capital improvements that have been undertaken in 2023 are either completed or very near to completion. The fitness center that reopened with a brand-new look, updated fitness equipment and wonderful new views from our new windows has been very active since its opening. We have addressed the longstanding difficulty with the WI-FI connectivity, and I am pleased to announce it has been remedied completely. Additional improvements will continue as we strive to give you the best experience possible. Please remember to refer to the Members Website for additional information regarding events and schedules. We have a robust calendar of events for January, including the Welcome Back Party on the 13th as well as Casino night on the 27th. Make sure to place your reservations early as space can fill up. I would like to personally thank you all for your continued support and wish everyone a wonderfully happy New Year and for making our Club one of the best, and most fun places to be a member! Hello Members, I just wanted to say a big thank you for joining mt at the first sip and paint – it was so much fun having you there! Your energy and creativity really lit up the room. I'm excited to invite you to our next event, a cozy "Sip and Paint" evening on January 23rd at 3pm. It's going to be a laid-back afternoon of painting, chatting, and enjoying some good wine. Whether you're a pro painter or just there for the sips, it'll be a great time. Hope to see you there – it wouldn't be the same without you!

TENNIS TENNIS UPDATE Myke Loomis Landauer
We are excited for the new year! The renovations in and around the tennis courts are completed from landscaping to tennis courts to pro shop to fitness center. If you haven’t had the opportunity to check it out, please stop by! League season will begin the second week of January for most teams. We have league matches that will be played Monday through Friday from the 2.5 level to the 3.5 level. If you are interested in playing on a team, please contact the pro shop and we will put you in touch with the captains of the appropriate team level. If you are new to the game, or maybe haven’t played in quite some time, please stop by, and talk to us. We’d love to get you going! We have beginner lessons happening daily and is a fun way to meet new friends at the courts! Don’t miss out on the healthy game of tennis!
Cardio tennis will start back up on January 6! Please call the pro shop to reserve your spot! We will be hosting complimentary Happy Hour Men’s and Women’s Doubles on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout the season. Please check the Club Calendar for the date of your skill level and time. Lee will take your reservation for this activity in the pro shop! We have a New Season Mixed Doubles Mixer coming up on January 6 th . Sign up individually and we’ll mix up.
