Client: Net Sq. Footage: 100,000 Program: Administration Offices Tribal Chambers Outdoor Gathering Spaces
Concept
This design was based on a prominent view of the
peak of the nearby hill was a prominent existing water tank. From the water tank, the direct site line made for a strong axial organization within the complex. This axis was expressed within the tribal chambers by a single channel of diffused light that is reflected. The non-orthogonal form of the buildings resulted in two large courtyards lined with various shading trees. Building departments were grouped by size, and each department was allowed their own outdoor terraces and breakout spaces.
