PIXOGRテ:ICA Being the first person in my family to attend college has shaped me in ways that nothing else could. Even though my parents never stayed up late doing homework or studying for exams, they put all their energy into working harder than anyone could imagine. Seeing their everyday struggle gave me the passion and energy to find what I love and use that passion to drive me to success. Going through college was difficult forcing me to become good at solving problems, finding solutions and being comfortable in new situations. I found design almost by mistake and realized it was a perfect fit. Design was a place where I could funnel my passion and also utilize the problem solving skills I developed. I liked all aspects of it, but was drawn to user experience and found it a place in design where I could help people navigate websites and solve many of the same problems I encountered navigating my college experience. I was able to look at things from an outsider perspective often giving insight to the design or function of my work. Interactive design allowed me to focus on the structural and organizational aspects in addition to the aesthetic choices like color and typography, making me the balanced designer I am today.
