Allstate returned in its role as title sponsor of the 17th annual Allstate GospelFest along with Proctor and Gamble. The annual concert event took place in Chicago this year and draws thousands. The event is taped and syndicated across the country. Tom Joyner, host of the nationally syndicated “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” along with Allstate Insurance Company celebrated family, fun and excitement Labor Day weekend with the 2015 Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion. The family event attracted over 20,000 people and featured a stellar lineup of today’s hottest entertainers including Kirk Franklin, cast members from Black-ish, Good Times and Living Single, basketball legend Dominique Wilkins and the daughters of the late longtime ESPN anchor Stuart Scott. “The Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion creates an atmosphere of one true family that celebrates people and what we love,” says Tom Joyner, whose radio show airs in markets all over the country. “Allstate continues the long-standing partnership with Tom Joyner as a sponsor of this year’s Allstate Tom Joyner Family Reunion,” said Cheryl Harris, senior vice president at Allstate. Since its first gathering in 1997 the Passion conference has been growing rapidly each year, moving past being simply an event to become a global movement. A team member explained that, “The heartbeat of Passion is to see a global awakening among university-aged people.” Each year participants hear from notable Christian speakers, worship with renowned Christian artists and mobilize to impact the world. These college aged students raised $1.2 million dollars during Passion 2015 to support 10 people groups across 12 nations with hopes that 19 million people would be able to hear the message of Jesus for the first time. Passion also continues to shine a light on modern-day slavery through the End It Movement. The next Passion Conference will be held in Atlanta at the Georgia Dome from January 2 - 4, 2017.
