Why develop a trend report? After 20 years of experience analysing the soul and body of organizations, BICG is willing to share its knowledge on key aspects related to the evolution of work within different organizations and markets. This does not allow us, by any means, to predict the future. This is not the intention of this document. Our daily work with organizations and our constant research on how to complete a successful transformation with our clients encourages us to share some information that we consider could be of interest for the future of work. Why it is so challenging to predict the future? After 20 years of cultural and organizational analysis of medium, large and very large companies throughout the world, BICG wanted to share its experience by collaborating with Ergonoma Journal on the fundamental aspects of the evolution of forms of work in different markets. This does not allow us, in any way, to try to predict what will happen in the future. This is not the intention of this document. Our constant research on the best ways to transform our clients’ organizations and our daily work supporting the changes encourages us to disseminate the information we consider crucial to envision the future of work patterns, and we hope this reading with Ergonoma Journal will seem as rewarding and useful as what we wanted by defining the outlines.

METHODOLOGY How did we accomplish it? After gathering concepts and trends that repeatedly appeared in our research work as well as in the worries of organizations, we profit from our collective intelligence by asking our professionals at BICG to select which one they considered most relevant for the years to come. They clustered the different topics and prioritized them according to their experience. It is not surprising to see that one of the main aspects continues to be culture. This may be because culture is in the centre of our work and our understanding of transformation.
