Bi-Lingual Sexual Assault Intervention Specialist Description: Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) is a non-profit social service agency in Kansas City which exists to lessen the ill effects of sexual assault and abuse through prevention, education, intervention, treatment and advocacy. The Sexual Assault Intervention Specialist position provides services to Spanish speaking victims and their families, as well as educates and collaborates with others about sexual assault issues to improve systemic and societal response. Fluency in the Spanish language is a requirement for this position. Responsibilities: Provide individual therapy or supportive counseling, case management, and crisis intervention to victims of sexual assault and their families at metropolitan area outreach locations. Provide group therapy and conduct psycho-education/support groups with clients. Provide crisis intervention, support and referrals to callers of the 24-Hour Crisis Line. Provide advocacy and court testimony to victims of sexual assault. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required, Masters degree in social work, counseling or related field preferred. Missouri and Kansas license eligible also preferred.
