Workshops & Demonstrations As partners in the Hailey Community Climate Challenge, we will be conducting a series of free workshops and demonstration projects showcasing our retail items and services. The series will include two outreach events offered each year, for three years. It will be targeted to developers, architects, realtors, contractors and the general public. We can deliver your items for a nominal fee or you can pick them up at our retail location.
Since 1999, we have dismantled numerous homes and office buildings in the Wood River Valley, including but not limited to the old Wood River Medical Center and the old Hailey Rodeo Arena. The recycled lumber and other building materials are utilized throughout southern Idaho, diverting materials from the landfill and saving on tipping fees for builders and homeowners. DONATE We take materials in good to excellent condition. Accepted donations include: lumber, pavers & stones, furniture, sinks & toilets, appliances, tools, electrical, doors, cabinets, hardware, windows and entire houses. We do not accept paint, fixed pieces of glass, chemicals or pesticides. Donations are tax deductible and pick-up is free.
Because of its partnership in the Hailey Community Climate Challenge, the BMTS was able to purchase a forklift, cutting torches, and scaffolding in 2011, all of which help increase BMTS operations and enhance deconstruction activity.
