U.S. JUMPING TEAM
ollowing a team bronze-medal finish at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ (WEG) Normandy, France 2014, the NetJets® U.S. Jumping Team maintained consistent podium placings throughout FEI Jumping Nations Cup™ and world championship competitions. Having pre-qualified for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games via their bronze medal-win at the 2014 WEG, they earned a team bronze medal at the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games. In Rio, U.S. Jumping chef d’equipe Robert Ridland guided the team of Lucy Davis and Barron, Kent Farrington and Voyeur, Beezie Madden and Cortes ‘C’, and McLain Ward and HH Azur to a silver-medal finish in Rio. U.S. Jumping capped off an outstanding FEI Jumping Nations Cup season with a 64 percent podium record and an FEI Jumping Nations Cup team bronze medal. In 2017, their momentum drove them to an 80 percent FEI Nations Cup podium record and a FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final team silver medal. Utilizing Ridland’s successful team formula featuring three senior and two under 25-team members, 16 under 25 athletes contributed to U.S. Jumping’s 2017 success. In 2018, the NetJets U.S. Jumping Team earned a spot in the 2018 Longines FEI Jumping Nations Cup Final, but their first mission is to earn 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games qualification at the WEG Tryon 2018.
