Around 100 years ago, His Majesty King Abdulaziz first sat atop a hill overlooking Malez in Riyadh with his sons and watched as their horses raced. Racing in The Kingdom had commenced. Today, our ethos is to ensure that every event we host offers an experience to our guests befitting this royal standard. We annually host over one hundred race meetings at King Khalid Racecourse in Taif and King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh including the Saudi Cup, the World’s Richest Race.
Since 1965, the Jockey Club of Saudi Arabia has stood as a symbol of elegance and excellence. Our venues are where people come together to create great occasions. With three prestigious venues, King Abdulaziz Racecourse in Riyadh, our historic Clubhouse in Malez and our vibrant King Khalid Racecourse in Taif, we provide bespoke solutions for your business needs. All our venues offer versatility, prestige, exclusivity and award-winning catering.
We have a highly motivated and dedicated team who are specialists in account management, planning and event delivery from the intimate and exclusive to larger occasions
including conferences, meetings, product launches, parties, gala dinners, exhibitions plus major public events such as cultural festivals and concerts. Our team will work closely with you to curate and deliver your event by offering impeccable service, creative flair and a results-focus to create a special experience for every guest. You can also choose to combine your event with the excitement of a race night (excluding Saudi Cup weekend).
AN EXPERIENCE LIKE NO OTHER
The horse enjoys a prestige and reverence within Saudi culture and a love of everything equine has been ingrained within the people of the Arabian Peninsula for thousands of years. Those who participate in equestrian pursuits are regarded as having noble qualities.
Today, a horse racing experience is like no other. Visceral and exciting, stylish and sophisticated it is a showcase and celebration of the best in Saudi sport, entertainment, cuisine and culture. Many clients choose to combine their event with a race night experience creating time to socialise and network with clients while enjoying the unforgettable thrill of Thoroughbred and Purebred Arabian racehorses thundering past them.
We have exclusive spaces for small groups to several thousand people from where you can host an unforgettable race night hospitality experience for your guests to enjoy as part of your event.
We race in Riyadh from October to March on every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from around 3.20pm - 8.30pm. In Taif, we race during the summer months on Friday and Saturdays between July and September.
NAME A RACE IN HONOUR OF YOUR BUSINESS
We can also provide an additional benefit of naming a race after your company (or celebration be it for a birthday, anniversary or bachelorette!). Race sponsorship enables you to enhance your brand’s visibility with our highly engaged racegoers watching in the venue plus the many thousands watching from home on TV. We offer your guests an inner sanctum experience including a Parade Ring visit prior to the sponsored race and an opportunity to present the winning connections of your race with a branded sash after the sponsored race at a branded podium.

Our iconic destinations have welcomed kings, royals and visionaries from around the world. It was His Majesty King Abdulaziz who instigated horse racing in The Kingdom with his sons a century ago. The sport has enjoyed royal patronage ever since and our flagship Saudi Cup weekend is graced by the attendance of His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
