Coopersale Community
Coopersale Community is led by a dedicated group of volunteers who live, work and/or worship in the village. The group meets monthly to plan and deliver fun initiatives that help make the village a friendlier, safer and more connected community.
Coopersale Community was born from the spring 2020 lockdown. Whilst covid 19 turned the world upside down, people in Coopersale found ways to offer support and bring joy to neighbours. Coopersale Community is a way to unite these individual initiatives, increase participation and create greater positive outcomes for everyone in the village.

In its first year, Coopersale Community has worked to improve road safety and held a summer planting competition, Scarecrow Festival and Christmas Light-up Night. The group looks to build strong partnerships to continue these activities and grow initiatives to engage everyone in the community. In March 2021, Coopersale Community was officially constituted as a non-political volunteer group.
Everyone invested in Coopersale is welcome to join Coopersale Community. Volunteering looks different for individuals based on interests, skills and availability. There are currently two vacancies on the committee, but people who wish to take part in one-off events are encouraged to get in touch as well.

If anyone has any stories about how their community has come together to support each other over the past year, please email: info@eppingtowncouncil.gov.uk marked Talk About Epping, so we can share that information in the next issue of our town magazine. Photos to accompany the stories would be most welcome, with those in the photos written permission.
