Epping Bowls Club celebrates in style

Epping Bowls Club celebrated the launch of the 2023 season on Saturday 15th April with special guests Cllr Barbara Scruton, Mayor of Epping, and her husband Roy. Together with members they declared the club’s 112th season open.

After a glass of fizz, the ribbon was cut for the official opening. The Mayor fired bowls across the green and managed to hit the bell target, having never played before. Club President Peter Bates, and Club Captains Ron Perryman and Margaret Hopkinson welcomed members who then enjoyed their first roll up of the season.
