PRIMARY SCHOOL WALLS
Introducing children to climbing is, above all, an excellent way to develop their motor skills. They learn how to become aware of their body on the wall, and to learn certain movements that are sometimes new to them. It can also be an introduction to goals setting for them = go to the top of the challenge, or cross the whole wall. Throughout the year or over the school years, goals can evolve. Traverse walls, for example, can have several levels of route setting; fun climbing challenges also exist in varying levels of difficulty. Time targets can also be established.

Traverse Walls

Traverse walls are meant to be climbed horizontally instead of vertically, this is a format called ‘bouldering’. This is done above a safety surface (whose thickness depends on the height of the wall) and without ropes and harnesses. The fun and challenge of a Traverse Wall is to make it from one side to the other, rather than to the top. Students are never more than a few feet off the floor as they traverse the wall. A traverse wall is a great introduction and can be installed almost anywhere.

PARK & PLAYGROUND BOULDERS

From the youngest climbers in their sandpits to city dwellers who love climbing, boulders and climbing towers for parks and playgrounds meet the needs of all types of climbers. These FreeForm structures are perfectly adapted to the outdoors, making climbing accessible to all and offering a variety of climbing styles.

VERTICAL CLIMBING WITH AUTO-BELAY

Younger children can also go climbing on walls that are higher than a boulder or a traverse wall. Our solution for more peace of mind and security? A small wall equipped with Trublue™ auto-belays. Children wear a harness clipped to the Trublue™. They climb the wall on their own and when they reach the top or let go on the way up, the auto-belay device lowers them smoothly back to the ground.
