Once students have discussed the text in groups, the teacher can ask them to play a Kahoot quiz, preferably in groups, just as they were sitting in the previous activity. Although Kahoot offers a team mode, it will be faster to play in classic mode. When a Kahoot quiz is run in group mode, then Kahoot gives 5 extra seconds for team talk before the countdown to answer the question starts. Nevertheless, this is not usually necessary, especially if teachers set up 90 or 120 seconds as the time limit. The questions in the quiz will necessarily be multiple-choice or True/False. Textbooks usually present repetitive question types. When using Kahoot, we can keep the questions that appear in the book or device new question types, thus enhancing the range of activities and cognitive demands on students.
