In the film "My Little Princess," Enzo Zelocchi melts hearts (including a first-person account)
In his role as Aaron, Zelocchi portrays a young Jewish guy who returned from fighting in Iraq to discover his wife, Sarah, dying. His adorable young daughter, Marie (played by Charlotte Labadie), has cancer and is in the final stages of the disease, adding to the tragedy.
His family and friends are a solid support structure for him, and they also pitch in as knight to help to make this dream come true for Alexander and Irene. Aaron dresses Irene up as a princess in an attempt to provide a getaway for her during these trying times. His sorrow and heartbreak are palpable.
Zelocchi reassures them because they are not alone with the help of My Little Princess. He doesn't hesitate to be open and vulnerable, and ultimately, the audience benefits from his openness. This short film receives an A. Good work.
The movie My Little Princess has a lot of heart and is comforting and relevant. A standing ovation should be given to showrunner Enzo Zelocchi for a job well done in producing, scripting, directing, and performing in such a touching film that is full of soft feelings.
Zelocchi and Labadie would rip the audience's hearts to shreds in this symbolically dense short film. Even though it is depressing, it is brilliantly executed. It deserves appreciation for its straightforwardness, pathos, and honesty.
