I am an industrial design student on the first year of my masters. I was born in Munich. Grew up in Salzburg and moved to the south of Jutland when I was 11. Here I went to Tønder gymnasium. After my time in Tønder, I moved to Copenhagen to presue an career in marketing, but I quick realized that my dream was to become an product designer, and not to promote it. I moved to Munich, where I was a design assistant for 2 years before I gained some knowledge in composure and presentation from a product photographer. I knew that I wanted to start in the Design school in Copenhagen the following year, but I had some time to spend and decided to brush up on my woodworking skills. Following year I started on Industrial Design on KADK.

CHAMELEON ONE A SHOE THAT IS BUILD ON THE PREMISE ABOUT AN INTERCHANGABLE FORM. IT TAKES IT INSPIRATION FROM THE LIZARD AND ITS ABILITY TO REGNERATE.

RESEARCH

UNIVERSE AS A PART OF THE RESEARCH I LOOKED IN TO THE WORLD OF SNEAKERS AND FOUND THAT THE TECHNICAL STYLE WAS THE RIGHT ONE FOR THE PRODUCT.

THE IDEA OF THIS SNEAKER BUILDS ON THE FASCINATION OF THE SNEAKER UNIVERS. THE PREMISE IS TO BE INSPIRED FROM SOMETHING IN NATURE, WHERE THE FASCINATION OF BIOMIMICRY AND LEARNING FROM NATURE WAS A HUGE FACTOR. RESEARCHING DIFFERENT SPECIES AND ABILITIES LEAD TO THE AMPHIBIOUS WORLD.

OPBYGNING

STABILISERENDE PLADE

INSPIRATION

THE MOST FASCINATING THING I FOUND IN MY RESEARCH WAS THE ABILITY OF REGENARATION OF LIZARDS. WHICH GAVE THEM THE OPPORTUNITY TO REPLACE DAMAGED OR LOST BODYPARTS. IN TERMS OF A SNEAKER, I TRANSLATED THAT TO A MODULAR SYSTEM, THAT MAKES IT POSSIBLE TO EXCHANGE DAMAGED PARTS AND CUSTOMIZE THE SNEAKER.

8

STRUCTURE AN ANALYSIS OF THE SNEAKER ANATOMY WAS NEEDED TO FIND OUT WHICH PARTS WHERE ESSENCIAL TO BUILD UP A SNEAKER.

IDEATION IN THE RESEARCH I WAS INSPIRED BY BIOMIMICRY TO DO THE FUNCTION PART. FURTHER INSPIRATION CAME FROM THE CURRENT SNEAKER CULTURE AND THE ANIMAL KINGDOM. ADDITIONALLY THE SNEAKER SHOULD REPRESENT SOMETHING STABLE AND LONGLASTING LOOKING AT THE EXISTING MODULAR SNEAKER SYSTEMS, BEING RATHER UNSTABLE.

LYSBÃ…ND A WEARABLE BASED ON THE MAGIC OF THE CYCLE OF LIFE. IT IS INSPIRED BY THE TECHNOLOGY OF UV-PRINTING. IT IS FILLED WITH COLOR AND LIFE BY DAY AND IS SUBTILE AND ELEGANT AT NIGHT.

14

15

RESEARCH BUILDING ON THE CONCEPT OF DAY AND NIGHT, I RESEARCHED AND BRAINSTORMED ON WHAT MAKES THE DISTINCTION SPECIAL. I CAME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT DAY AND NIGHT IN OUR SOCIATY ALMOST DOESNT EXIST ANYMORE, BECAUSE EVERYHING IS ACCESSIBLE ALL THE TIME. THIS IS WHY I WANTED TO CREATE SOMETHING THAT ACTUALLY FOLLOWS THIS PREMISE.

“ALL CATS ARE GRAY AT NIGHT” - BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

CYCLE OF LIFE THE INSPIRATION OF THE CYCLE CAME FROM DIFFRENT ASPECTS. THE RYTHM OF THE DAY, THE ANATOMY, AND THE CYCLE OF SOMTHING INFINITE.

ERGONOMY COMBINING THE DIFFERENT INSPIRIONS A CAME TO THE CONCLUSION, TO MAKE AND WEARABLE. AS A WEARABLE THE ERGONOMY PLAYS A BIG PART OF THE EXPERIENCE. THIS IS WHY I EXPERIMENTED ON THE WITH AND FORM OF THE WRISTBAND.

LIGHT SPECTRUM TAKING THE CONSIDERATION THAT EVERYTHING IS GRAY AT NIGHT, AND COLORS EXIST BECAUSE OF LIGHTWAVES, WHICH ARE BUILD ON THE SINUS CURVE.

16

17

IDEATION

GOLDEN RATIO

HAVING DETERMINTED THAT THE PRODCT SHOULD BE A WRISTBAND, I WORKED ON THE SHAPE OF IT. FIRST OF ALL THE GENERAL SHAPE SHOULD BE DETERMINED, BUT THE PLACEMENT OF THE UV-PRINT ALSO PLAYED A BIG PART.

TO FIND THE INSPIRATION OF THE FINAL FORM I ANALYSIS FURTHER ON THE SUBJECT AND FOUND THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE SINUS-CURVE OF THE LIGHTWAVES AND THE GOLDEN RATIO.

FINDING THE FORM FORM WAS DETERMINATED ON COMFORD AND STYLE. FURTHERMORE THE CLOSINGSYSTEM OF THE WRISTBAND WAS A IMPORTANT FUNCTION THAT WAS CRUCIAL TO MAP OUT.

18

A BIG SURFACE FOR VISUALS IS ESSENSTIAL FOR DISPLAYING THE UV-PRINT TECHNOLOGY. ADDITIONALLY A CLOSING SYSTEM THAT MAKES THE PRODUCT ONE SIZE MAKES IT CHEAPER TO PRODUCE AND FITS ANYONE.

19

PRODUCT THE FINAL PRODUCT IS A WEARABLE THE THAT DIFFERS ITSELF FROM OTHER WEARABLES BY BEING A PIECE OF JEWELLERY AT THE SAME TIME. IT CAN FUNCTION IN A LOT OF DIFFERENT SETTINGS, AT THE SAME TIME IS WEARABLE AT A FORMAL NIGHT OUT.

WORM HOME A PRODUCT THAT SERVES THE FUNCTION, TO GROW INSECTS IN YOUR OWN HOME. ITS PURPOSE IS TO BUILD A BRIDGE BETWEEN THE WESTERN AND ASIAN FOOD CULTURE, TO ULTIMATELY REDUCE THE INTAKE OF MEET WORLDWIDE.

22

23

RESEARCH

CULTURE THE REASON ONLY CERTAIN COUNTRIES EAT INSECTS IN THEIR DAILY LIFE, IS BASED ON THE DERMOGRAPHIC OF THE COUNTRY.

THE PREMISE OF THE PROJECT IS BASED ON A WORLDWIDE NEED OF A SUBSTITUTE FOR CONVENSIONEL MEET. IT IS BASED ON THE ASIAN CULTURE OF EATING INSECTS, AND THE LACK OF THAT IN WESTERN COUNTRIES.

RESEARCH

LIFE OF THE MEALWORM

WHERE THE INITIAL FOCUSED ON THE THE RELEVANS OF EATING INSECTS, THIS PART IS ABOUT ANALYSING THE MEALWORM AND HOW PEOPLE REACT ON TO EATING AND GROWING THEM.

A MEALWORM LIFES IN A CYCLE OF 4 STAGES WHERE THE STAGE OF THE WORM IS THE ONE THAT IS TO BE CONSUMED. IT IS EASY TO RAISE AND HAS NOT A LOT OF DEMANDS.

TO GET THE BEST POSSIBLE PRODUCT FOR THE DANSIH MARKED I WORKED TOGETHER WITH PEOPLE WHO COULD BE IN THE TARGET GROUP FOR THE PRODUCT. THIS WILL CREATE INSIDES IN THE THOUGHTS ON EATING INSECTS.

THE CUBE THIS PRODUCT IS A PROJECT THAT IS BASED ON RE-DESIGNING AN EXISING PEACE OF ELECTRONICS. THE REMOTE CONTROL GAVE A GOOD STARTING POINT, TO DO SOMETHING NEW.

46

47

RESEARCH THE PREMISE OF THE ASSIGNMENT WAS TO RE-DESIGN AN EXISTING PRODUCT. IN ADDITION, THE PRODCUT SHOUDLD BE INSPIRED BY AN EXISTING DESIGNER.

INSPIRATION ANISH KAPOOR, ISSEY MIYAKE AND DIETER RAMS ALL WHERE PERFECT INSPIRAITON FOR THE PRODUCT. THEY ALL REPRESENT VARIOUS DESIGNS AND MAKE IT POSSIBLE TO DESIGN WITH A BIG BANDWITH.

CURRENT INSIDES TO FIND OUT WHAT A REMOTE CONTROL IS BUILD OUT OF, I TOOK APART AN EXISTING REMOTE CONTROL, TO BETTER UNDERSTAND THE INSIDES AND CREATE A REALLISTIC PRODUCT.

THE MAIN PROBLEM ABOUT THE EXISTING REMOTE CONTROL IS THE LACK OF EVOLUTION AND AN OVERLOAD OF BUTTONS.
