The display looked really nice. We took lots of pictures. We learned about how they roast and grind the coffee and stuff. After we

"My favorite part about Starbucks was the pizza and citrus lavender sage tea with honey and lemon." -William C.
"Having our work up there is amazing. It's cool. Its very cool. I'm glad everyone is buying it from us. We made good money! It's a life experience for me. I'm glad my boyfriend William got to go with me. I think about stuff, and - boom! - it's there! I have an idea, it's a good idea, and I just do it. Everybody worked hard doing it together, everybody." -Clonita B.

Clonita and David's Exercise Class
I exercised with David in the media room. Jimmy was recording the video. We taught the clients how to do exercise - the clients at Westtown, Rose Center, Kruger Center, and at home too. The whole agency. It was fun. It was totally amazing. I was enjoying myself, I really

We had a nice fashion show. We decorated - we put balloons, streamers, and tablecloths out. We cleaned the tables and chairs. Ruth said, "I put on a dress in the bathroom. My dress had flowers." Lucy said, "I had a pink dress on. Me and Aquillia had the same color." We watched people model some clothes. They wore suits, dresses, and shoes. We took pictures over there by the banner and decorations. We took pictures with each other, Raul, and Sheree the model. We danced with each other to music. We did the Electric Slide. We ate food - pasta, vegetables, and shish kabobs. Lucy said, "The shish kabob was so good, but the beef was kind of tough. I didn't know I should've gotten chicken. But I liked the food. I liked the pasta. I enjoyed everything. The food was good." Ruth, Charles, and Rosa planned the menu. We had champagne and pop. We ate chocolate chip cookies and cake. Mark and Marty were here, and Raul and Marcos. We had a good time. We mingled. It was nice enjoying the fashion show. It was a successful party.
see if everybody go for it, and they went for it alright! I want to do it again in the near future.

WELCOME CICADAS! | JUNE 15, 2021 It’s been 17 years! The cicadas are back. “They live in the dirt,” said Eunice. This time, trillions are expected and they are loud! They are coming out of the ground where they have been living for the past 17 years. And now, what do they want? “To have fun, to have a good time,” said Big Mike. We are not afraid of them. “They don’t sting,” said Jeff. But they sing! Some entomologists (bug experts) call them musical. And some say they can be eaten. But we watched a video of a chef who cooks with bugs. We would not eat insects!

OUR SCULPTURE PROJECT By Rachel Smith We glued boxes and cardboard to make higher and more interesting shapes. We had lots of pictures of animals, like a giraffe and a red bird. We used lots of colored circles and other shapes we made. We took the pictures for National Geographic magazine. We added stars and sparkle gems. It lights up the pictures! We did a lot of decoration on each picture. It brings out a person's ideas to let them decorate things. It makes them show more of who they are and how they think things should look. I think the sculpture will be wonderful when it is done. It is taking a long time. Everyone worked on it, not just one person, EVERYONE worked on parts. It kind of looks like the dark, the moon and stars, lots of things in a sky. Art makes people proud. Don't watch TV! Do something creative. It changes you. It changes your mood. You learn. It has to be valuable. Frick will look like a gallery when we hang the art up. Art shows courage because you do it yourself and no one does it for you. I learned how to use a drill. I put the screws in the wood even. I try anything. I like to keep busy.

I AM SO GLAD TO BE BACK By Trevell I am glad being back. I take my two vaccine shots already. I am so glad to be back. I miss my friends including my girlfriend. I am so glad to back. A long time ago I was working at Diversey cleaning bathrooms and working the front desk. Now I am working again. I miss my teacher so much, she was a good teacher all the time. I got a new teacher and glad to have my director. I was going to visit Nashville and got to see my friends. I went to Zoom, and I lead the exercise of morning movements. I did a fantastic job. I was doing the speech to everyone for Phoebe’s Fashion Show. I did a good work and do the best I can.
SPOTLIGHT ON: GREGORY HARPER Hi! My name is Gregory Harper, and I’m excited to be at Nashville! I like to write stories and do projects a lot. Here are some of the things I like to write about: Pokemon, Digimon, Justice League, Final Fantasy, Kingdom Hearts, and so on. Right now I’m writing a story called "Pokémon Meets Digimon: All-Stars". When I’m done with the first chapter I want to submit it for the newspaper so my friends can read it and give me feedback. It’s going to have some really good battling scenes in it. I can’t wait to share with everyone. I’ve been doing these stories ever since I was a kid. Thank you for reading!

BIG MARSH PARK by Charles A. This is me on a rental bike. On Wednesday, me, Aquilla, and William C. went to the Big Marsh. Other people from CILAs were there. It was a long drive and we couldn’t find it so we had to turn around. I was happy when Aquilla found it. She did a good job. We parked in the parking lot and we ate sandwiches later. Aquilla made a sandwich for me and it was good.
We went biking with David and Tim. There were a lot of trees and people were cleaning. We rode around, then we went to the right and went all the way to the end of it by the rocks. There was a big, dead turtle at the end. I was sad when I saw the turtle so I prayed and hoped it went to heaven. I felt better after.
We saw the lake. It wasn’t too windy, but it was a little cold. I brought a jacket and that was smart. The best part was doing a tour of the park. It was pretty. I stopped a couple times to wait because I was biking really fast and wanted them to follow me. I was going for a world record.
I liked that we did a picnic and I went down a ramp. I want to go again and I hope everyone who wants to go can go. I would say there was nice people and I liked introducing myself. Thank you to David and thank you to Tim for letting me ride with those two.

A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS By William C. I went with Lucy, Charles and Graham to the MCA. It stands for the Museum of Contemporary Art. I was looking for the adult cartoons of the Family Guy and Bob's Burger. They did not have those cartoons. A few days before, I was watching those cartoons at my mom's and my sister's house in the basement on Channel U. The MCA worker took a picture of Graham's tattoo because she thought it was real cool.
There is one picture on the wall that I did not like that I hated so much, and I was thinking to myself, "Oh my goodness, who can ever draw a picture like that?" It was the Virgin Mary with vampire teeth. I like the Virgin Mary and I think it's very disrespectful that they put the vampire teeth. I did have a favorite illustration, the lady from the 1940's because I like the way things use to be and I like old-fashioned stuff. She was wearing a casual dress. The dress had a turtle neck, then it had long sleeves, then it went down to her feet. And she was wearing a 1940s hair style. She looked neutral. She wasn't happy and she wasn't angry. I asked the lady, "Are there cartoons for children?" and she told me, "They are not children cartoons, they are definitely adult cartoons." But I think it's a cartoon that a 15-year-old could see. It's not a cartoon that a 5-year-old could see. I also like the illustration of the lady in the 1800s, at the time of slavery. I like that picture because I did not like those times, and becuase I think those times are interesting. Not because the master tells you what to do.
I had a good time at the MCA. I would like to go back.

MY LIFE: JOHN CENA This DVD is about John Cena's life. He talks about his car collection, his wrestling career, his movie career, and his music career. I like all of his cars. My favorite is his red truck. He has yellow and orange cars. If you watch it, you'll see all of them. He talks about his engines, what they look like. He loves his collection and he drives them around a couple times. John Cena's wrestling tag team partners are Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan. Shawn Michaels' nicknames are the Heartbreak Kid (HBK), the Show Stopper, and Mr. Wrestlemania. They are both in the Hall of Fame now. I like his movies. He did Legend and Marine. Marine is about a solider. He wears the marine uniform and salutes. Kelly Carlson and Robert Patrick are in that movie. He's a good rapper. He writes his own music. He wears different shirts. One of them says "100% American Made Music." I give this 5 stars because he's my favorite.
CHARLES' ENTERTAINMENT REVIEW MULAN This is Mulan. She’s a warrior. She did it to help out her family. She didn’t want her dad joining the army, so she got involved. There are guards for the emperor. Their clothes are very nice. Mulan wears the best ones. The uniforms are different from here and I like the swords with Chinese letters on there. She rides out with the horse to the camp where they do the training. The bow and arrows are great. I like the colors of the bird. The mother tries to get her a husband. Her secret is that she takes the uniform and goes out with the horse. I wish I knew more about how she was trained. She chases a chicken around then she jumps off of the roof. She holds the sword and does a stance. She tries to join the army because she wants to take her dad’s place. She does because he could get hurt and she doesn’t want him getting hurt. When she joins the army, she says she has a different name. She is good at having true honor and being brave. Mulan wins a fight with the bad guys. Khan and Xianniang are the villains. Even though she disobeys her father, he still loves her. I like how the cast reads the scripts, learns the lines, and then does them. The music is great too. There is a video of Christina Aguilera singing “Loyal, Brave, True.” She has a great voice. This movie is five out of five stars because Liu Yifiei is a new star. Gong Li is also great. I think if they made a movie with Shadow Weaver, Gong Li would be great. If you want to watch Mulan, enjoy it and love it.
