Good! Lot of walking, lot of walking. I did the big caterpillar, big caterpillar. I had my first time being it. Put the sticks up. Hard, hard for me. Hard for me to pick it up. It hurt a little bit. The volunteer told us to turn the light on. I got little a nervous. A lot of people. A lot of friends around me. Everybody talk to me. I got lost, I couldn’t find the bus. Couldn’t find the tour bus. Went back to Rose Center, eat pizza. I got pop, 2 liter of pop. Pop at Rose Center. I got home late. Got home around 10. Long ride back to Rose Center. It was fun! Lots of people. A hundred people. Nice people. Nice costumes, nice makeup. Block the streets off. Cops and traffic. Blocked it off because cars were in the way. Then we started. I like the kids. I like the costumes. I was on that first bike, that first bike back there. All that wind, gusty wind. I wore the wrong helmet. I should’ve brought mine down there. Decorated the helmet too. All that wind, woo! Kristen came too. All that wind under the bridge. We waved at people. I like the floats. They were beautiful. The Ghostbusters, kids dancing, circus, the wheel, kids running around it. I like the performance. Kids were singing around it. My staff came. Our staff took us. Me and Courtney went. That wind, woo! Strong wind. Blew my hat off. It was cold, colder than when we started. Clear the traffic because the cars were in the way. Interview about the floats. Then we left after that. We went to Rose Center and had pizza. I like the music. I like the dancing. I like the makeup. We were butterflies. I was a butterfly. I wore my teen jacket. My staff gave it to me. It’s like a coat. DRUM! By Bernard H. Girls out there. Some girls love me out there. I played drums for them. I practice. Practice drums, and then I make a beat with it. Made a song with it. I felt good out there! Gave a girl a hug. Came back, everyone celebrate out there. Take picture out there. Nonstop. Take pictures of them. Anyone need me, just call me. Need me to practice the drums.

It was a lot of fun. We missed Hannah. It was just a lot of fun. We danced, we sang, they did Michael Jackson “Beat It.” It was just a lot of fun. We had a ball. We had a ball. We got to Grand Avenue around 4:00, and then we had to set up the float. The parade up. We had to set the bike up with the caterpillar. Anteneh and Kristen had to set it up. It was so windy out there, it was so cold. It was freezing out there! It was so windy that day. At the end, it started to rain on us. We had pizza. We got the butterfly makeup off. Matthew helped me take it off. We forgot the baby wipes in the van.

TALKING TO BUS DRIVERS By Cody H. I talk to the bus drivers. Drive. With Mari I get truck to blow horn. They say yeah, they like their job. We go to parking lot and ask questions. In the afternoon. We talk to garbage truck driver, bus driver, and a delivery driver moving boxes. I want to drive a Pace bus or city bus. Mari talks a lot. She laughs. I get excited when we talk to drivers. I like school bus. Yellow bus. I drive!

SIMONS PARK By Nelly I wanted to go to Simons Park. I wanted to do arts and crafts. I want to be with Nikki. I walked to Simons Park, ain’t no handicapped lift there. I want the handicapped lift there. I want there to be a ramp there. I want to go to Simons Park. I was not happy. I cannot go. I like Simons Park and I want to go back.
I wrote a letter. It’s going to help me go up and go in and do arts and crafts. It’s telling the people at Simons Parks that I need to go up in a ramp.

I like the movie. I like the cartoon. I like Christina Ricci. The dad is a doctor. I like the station wagon. I like the house. The house was haunted. Casper hid a treasure chest. His uncle’s. Casper’s uncles are mean. They were yelling at him. He cooks in the movie. I like the cast. I like the music. I like the big machine in there. There’s a big machine in the house. I like the train in there. The dad dies. His baseball. He becomes human in there. I like the theme. The dad’s in Back to the Future. I like the kids in there. I like the music. I like the cartoon. Love the cartoon part. Caspian Jackson plays Casper. I like the town. My favorite ghost. He’d cute. Cathy Moriarty is in there too. I say, “Hi.”
