How to Make a Butterfly Costume
Charles' Entertainment Review
A Glance at Westtown
This is a long article about the library. I like reading to kids about younger children. I practice about the book called “Toto’s apple. I sat around the storyteller and see the pictures of the book. “The book was amazing,’’ I said. “Maybe I’ll go again on Tuesday.’’ I like to teach the kids about learning about the picture of the words. I like to sit next to Hannah at the library and we tell stories about it. We had a lot of fun. It was amazing. Next month, I can read ‘’The night before Christmas’’ by Jerry Smath & Douglas Gorsline and tell them about it. The article is very long.

HOW TO CREATE A BUTTERFLY COSTUME FOR THE ARTS IN THE DARK PARADE By Linnea, Leona, Alex, Carla, DJ, Candice, Genevieve, Edgar, Ana, Danielle, Camron, Antonella, Osman, Jesus, Lupe, Noemi, Steven, Karen B., Karren F., Suelma, Flo, Leon, & Charlotte
Step 1 - Pick a large piece of thin, flowy fabric (at least 44 in. wide X 67 in. long). Step 2 - Put the fabric on a table, put the butterfly wing template on top, and trace the template with chalk.
Step 3 - Take the template off and cut the wings out (put heavy books on the wings so the fabric doesn’t move!) Step 4 - Put tape on the edges of the wings to secure it to your table (pull the fabric tight!)
Step 5 - Draw out the butterfly body, the edges of the wings, and the large shapes inside the wings with chalk. Step 6 - Draw the shapes that you want on the edges of the wings onto contact paper, cut them out, and stick them on the edges of the wings.
Step 7 - Use watered down black paint to paint over the contact paper shapes, fill in the butterfly body, and paint around the large shapes inside the wings. Then peel off the contact paper!
Step 8 - Mix different colors of watered down paint, and fill in the big shapes! Add pizzazz with white paint, glitter glue, and fabric!
Step 9 - When the wings are dry, safety pin them to the top of your shirt collar, and hold them to see where to cut holes for the wrist ties.
Step 10 - Cut a small hole in the fabric on both sides of the wings. Put the ripped fabric strips through the holes and tie around wrists.
Get ready to fly with other Envision members on October 21st at the Arts in the Dark Parade!
