GREEN STUFF By Lucy P.

Nino, Terrill, Charlotte and Suzette went for a walk in The Saint Boniface Cemetery. It was a nice day. A little cold but not too bad. We had been there before but this time we noticed a lot of green stuff that Marcos explained were geese droppings. We had a good laugh at the geese’s expense.

THE MAYOR’S OFFICE By Lucy P.

We went to visit the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities. We met Betty and Tyra who work there. They gave us a box lunch and 150 masks for our agency. Nino, Papo, and I went to help with the delivery. These masks are really good at protecting us. We were really grateful because everyone was nice and it was such a surprise to get free lunch too.

She was confused. She was upset, tell the bus driver, "Why you don't let me sit on the bus? There's mixed people, black and white. Like civil rights." Then he grabbed her by her clothes, and said, "Let's go outside." She said, "Okay" and walked away. She never gave up her seat. The bus driver tell her, "Get out." Then she get arrested outside of the bus. Then they take her to the police station. They put a fingerprint and they stayed there for a minute. Her best friend bailed her out of the jail. She's telling her, "Thank you for everything. I've been through it. I don't want it to happen again." Rosa went to the other bus and did the same thing again. A white guy tell her, "Please leave." Martin Luther King Jr. said, "It's not right to tell people where to sit." Rosa told the driver, "It's not right to tell me where I cannot sit. I am African American. I can sit wherever I want to. I have a dream."

MY STORY By Jamie P.

I love working the nature sounds, like a story. I hear the voices of the nature sounds, like water, wind in the trees, birds chirping. Then you have to move your arms, your legs. The nature goes faster and grows. You move your hands back and forth, like a wave in the water. You touch the sky and move your hand back and down. You relax your body, enjoy the breeze, and enjoy the smell of the flowers next to you. You touch the grass and feel the soil, around and around in the soil, make them grow and grain. When the rain comes up, it makes the rain come faster. Everyone loves the movement of my story of nature sounds.

“I am alive. I love being here. I hear birds chirping, saying, ‘I’m alive!’”
